Silence filled the ride back home as Yves bandaged my foot. He shouldn't be doing this, but he was stubborn and I couldn't let this wound leave untreated.
"Done," he announced under his breath, and I withdrew my foot away from him. He sat across from me, glancing at the bandage for the last time.
I wanted to tell him he shouldn't have done that to my fiance, but I decided not to. Instead, I looked out of the window, sliding my finger to the curtain to see how long I still have to endure this suffocating silence between us.
"Marsella," he called. I ignored him, thinking if I had to endure this type of air on this trip, what else would it be in the Ross Estate? A sigh slipped past my lips just thinking about it.
"Marsella," he called gently once again, making me look back at him.
"What?" I breathed out, controlling my expression.
