Chereads / Love you Sweety / Chapter 49 - The observed one

Chapter 49 - The observed one

It was infuriating being watched by a man who acted like a fifty year old father. The way he got under her skin, Sweety was sure even her father never stood that strict.

"This method looks easier."

"Doesn't it?" Meer proudly announced, "This time YOU should come to tutor under ME."

"Where did you copy it from?" Sweety placed her hands together on the library table, they were seated opposite one another.

"I didn't copy!"

"Its from Weller's books," Sweety answered for him. Meer sighed exclaiming, "Have you left any book unread in this place?"

"Yes. You may read them." She flicked his forehead and stood from her chair.

"Wait!" Sweety was pulled back to sit with Meer. "I have noticed you avoiding me and Baban lately. Anything happening..?"

Her good mood soured at the impact that the imposter was bringing in her life.

Why was she listening to him again?

"Hello! Here I am," he waved at her to come back from her thoughts.

"I'm not avoiding you both. I just have a lot to study."

"And I heard you were not very good at studies," he pointed.

"Exactly why I have to study." They chatted for a little more until the school ended and both had to part ways.

Sweety hung her bag behind to leave when she found THE Mr. Wilson already situated at the exit. Few students lingering in the library greeted him at his presence, she took the chance to escape until her wrist was taken hold of.

Sweety instantly came to look at his eyes but he was not seeing back at her, rather he had that stupid smile placed while speaking with them.

"Let go!" She whispered.

Did he listen to her?

Ha. Fat chance.

The groups of boys and girls who found the teacher and student intimately next to each other, narrowed away after Rob glared them off.

The lousy librarian excused herself. Only after seeing no one around did Rob let go of her hand.

"No longer struggling?" He asked at her unusual behavior. Each time he caught up to her, she would find ways to break free from him.

"Not that you listen to me, do you?" She eyed him seriously. "Whatever you have to say, just do it and I'll go."

"Why you acting like this?"

"Acting? I am dead serious. Just say what you want to, I'll listen and go back to my room!" She clarified once and for all. It was to her breath's level tolerating this man, the reason of which she was unknown to.

She was angry but he felt her upset within. Maybe he went too far.

"Will you eat ice-cream with me?"

Sweety focused her eyes back on him, "What new game are you playing now?"

"No games. A break for us."

"You speak as if we are into each other." It was a bad move. The moment she said that his pupils dilated. Was he interested in making that happen?

Nononono..

"Um, I have to go to my room if there is nothing else." She quickly moved her legs. Eyes shut praying, she prayed for her to let go now.

Surprisingly he did. He didn't take her arm or wrist or waist or any part of her body to stop her. Yay!

Post all that, Sweety was happier with lesser interactions with him. He would conduct class, not meet her eyes for long like he used to, and then he would be gone. Nor did he call her for fake experiment sessions. Since Sweety knew they were fake, she never bothered to ask.

It was going all fine until she noticed him absent.

Okay, the first day she was relieved but the second day also he wasn't there. Was he sick?

She reasoned that he'll take care of himself. Yet the persisting part in her was luring her to check just once.

"Samuel Sir! Hi."

"Hi to you too. Did you have any work with me?" He gave a look over to her panting self. She ran from her classes to reach on time and meet Samuel Works. The guy was always gone from school by the time she reaches.

"I..I wanted to... know... is Ro- um, is Mr. Wilson alright? He hasn't attended lectures lately." Upon another thought she added, "I have some textbook questions to ask him." Hoping her excuse was not seen through.

Samuel glanced over her once again. The studying face turned into a merry one in a blink that Sweety found it hard to catch up to.

"Oh! He's all fine and doing great. Don't you worry."

"But.. everyone is saying he has some fever. Typhoid or something." She decided to check the second she heard some teachers speaking about it when she stopped by at their cabin in search of Rob.

"That's the lie I've been feeding them! But I remember saying he had measles and that his body is absolutely unrecognizable. How did the sickness change into fever?"

"Pardon me?" Was he the nice teacher she used to claim? "You are Samuel Works?"

"One and only. Why?"

"I just realized you overpassed my expectations."

"Really?!" The tall bulky man held her shoulders asking in excitement.

What was with men always touching her?

He let go instantly after the thought struck Sweety's mind. Thanking the lord, she stepped away two hand distances from him.

"I knew it would work! Now that the first handsome teacher is on bed the second one has to take the throne, aye?" He was boasting himself until Sweety intervened.

"That means he is not sick?"

"No. He is in top-notch condition. In fact, he might be drunk dead- Oh damn! I wasn't supposed to say that!" Creeping close to her, Sweety raised her hands outstretched.

"Exercise is good for health." She craned her head side to side then whirled her arms wide. The wide frame was enough to keep Works at bay.

"Okkayy," he continued, "Well what I wanted to say is don't tell anyone else about his actual reason of absence. He'd be very upset with me."

"Why? He told you to say this to me?" That bloody over smarty. Just wait until I get my hands on him.

"Oh no no. It's just I was trying to decrease his fan circle. You don't seem to be his fan. And he'd be interested in anyone but you. Don't mind okay."

Sweety's cold eyes made it damn clear how much she minded it. No matter, she returned to her lair empty handed.

"Do whatever you want," she muttered to him one last time before opening her math book.

The following morning Sweety was awake early, the peace of morning suited her mind to calm. She was practising Yoga since that was the only exercise without much noise. It was hazardous to be a reason for disrupting people's sleep. Especially ones who live in hostel.

There was a tough pose in her routine which did not come comfortably for many. But she was able to do it. Maybe due to her flexible body.

That time she did not count on how flexible she could be until she mostly lost her balance while putting her weight on her palms. Blinking profusely she saw the scene upside down due to her pose.

Across the window there was Rob standing shamelessly staring at her in workout clothes. Upon seeing him after a long time even if it was few days, she could not help but gaze his form.

Her staring went on for quite some time until she lost her balance and shrieked loud as her thighs hit the bedside.

"Who? Who broke in??"

"It's me." Sweety admitted to Kirell's inspection.

"I know how sexy girls like to be but don't you think that pose of yours is uncomfortable?" Kirell blabbered in morning voice which came out harsh.

"Sorry-Ah. Help please?"

Her sleepy roommate helped her get back in her feet before she dug back in her blanket. Sweety was sitting on her bed, massaging her legs. They were paining in a way she won't be able to continue for now.

Checking Kirell to be asleep, Sweety shifted close to the window which was located next to her bed allowing her to peep out.

She was embarrassed for showing her upper half that in order to check if Rob was still lurking by, Sweety peeped fast then moved back in the bed. Sleeping like a bear. Or trying to.

After throwing her head up then throwing it down to not be seen, she confirmed there was no looker in that place now.

Sweety knew she was not mistaken for seeing him there. Yet again how will she prove it? These days he didn't come in front of her and the times he did, there were no supporting evidences to prove them.

Resting her head against the window, she was watching the expanse of back garden and dud that until feeling sleepy.
