Chapter 4 - Chapter III: The city within the sea of sand

Fast track for a bit and it has a lil bit more than a week since Yesfir left that hidden meadow she woke up in and she was starting to get a bit tired of wandering aimlessly following whatever trail that seemed to might lead her to something in the silly girl's eyes.

Yesfir Continued to trudge on, using her enhanced senses to guide her through the foliage, hoping that it may take her somewhere other than more towering trees.

a small rustle here and a horrendous smell there, she easily avoided potential threats to her wellbeing that may or may not be lurking nearby.

Yes she could easily over power them with nothing more than her brute strength despite being in her sealed state but yesfir much rather avoid any confrontations until she fully grasped control of her new body or somehow exclude the sensation of pain from being enhanced by her cheat.

the latter was more important since she hated physical pain the most.

what can she say? before being "transmigrated" to this place, she was pretty much the stereotypical spoilt rich kid that never experienced any hardships beforehand. she was after all the product of the union between a business Mogul and a world renowned Pianist, that she had barely met all her life she grudgingly added.

sigh.

maybe Out of humor and definitely a growing sense of boredom, if Yesfir is to use an analogy to describe her current self, she's basically an overpowered marshmallow... she can dish out a lot of damage in one sitting but she's as squishy as the popular bonefire snack if that makes any sense at all.

letting out another sigh Yesfir perked up her vulpin like ears trying her best to pick up anything worth noticing in her immediate surroundings.

At first it was rather confusing for Yesfir since originally, humans didn't possess such extra.. appendages(?) beyond what was deemed anatomically proper for her "previous race."....

...yep, Yesfir had quickly accepted the fact that she was no longer human.

she considered herself quite lucky that she didn't start out as one of the winged race when she decided to create her character, managing her ears and her large fluffy tail that wasn't really only one but a combination of 10 secondary tails that can somehow magically fuse, was already her limit.

it took a day's worth of practice to gain some rudimentary control over her unruly "tail" that split and fused together without rhyme or reason, luckily mastering her new set of fox ears on the other hand was a lot less taxing and only took an hour for her to gain almost complete control over them.

following the only path visible in the foliage which Yesfir believed to be an animal trail, she dearly hope it would lead her somewhere that was not dominated by shrubs or towering trees or else she might go crazy...

she looked up and Idea suddenly formed inside her mind.

"maybe I am doing this all wrong." Yesfir suddenly muttered after a moment of contemplation.

she stopped walking and set her sights above, specifically towards the forest canopy that was several stories in height.

"instead of wandering around aimlessly like a clueless little Goblin... I might as well try and get to a vantage point so I can figure out where I really need to go." she exclaimed in her late realization.

Yesfir wanted to slap her forehead due to her oversight.

"this is the price of skipping that wilderness camping course back when I was still in high school..." she smiled wryly at that memory although she held plenty of doubts that the course provided by her school back then would involve teaching them to how to fend for themselves inside a "magical" forest filled with ferocious wild beasts and possibly deadly fauna.

luckily for yesfir she had easily evaded most of the dangerous encounters during her 2 day trek with the help of her extremely keen sense of hearing and smell.

withdrawing a rather sizable length of rope made of some kind of monster fibers and what appears to be an enormous silver claw that was almost half her size from her inventory.

she attached the end of the rope in a rather haphazard manner on the grapple, making sure that it is firmly held in place with the strongest knot she could possibly make... or at the very least know how to do.

Upon completing her item a small window popped up in front of her with a small fanfare jingle which Said.

[Crafting complete!]

Item Name: Makeshift Grapple

Grade: Uncommon

abilities: Sturdy A

item description:
Created from high quality materials dropped by monsters, unfortunately due to the relatively Inexperienced of the Creator the item created possesses no Equipment bonus or Attributes besides being unspeakably sturdy.

shrugging at the lackluster Description of the item she had created, Yesfir was neither knowledgeable in making things nor did she possess any life skills related to item creation in game...

To make things short... the vulpin like girl is pretty much your typical battle junkie, her avatar is especially geared for pvp. so far her only utility skills are the ones tacked onto her race and most of them could be used as means to attack or create openings as fights drag on.

leaving her rather worrisome choice of character creation aside for now. she wasn't really troubled by the quality of creation as long as it serves it intended purpose.

Yesfir's plan involves "yeeting"(her words) her makeshift grappling hook as hard as she can towards one of massive lumbering pine trees (?) and use it to climb up.

Well she could very well scale massive these trees even without equipment but as long as she hadn't fully grasp the capabilities of her new body, she much rather play it safe, especially when her sense of pain is currently amplified by the system with no way of changing it for now.

"I don't think I need to remove a portion of my seal to make this work..." she muttered to herself as she toyed with the improvised grappling hook like it was some kind of toy, completely at ease despite its supposed size and weight.

Satisfied with getting a feel of her newly crafted equipment, Yesfir let out a breath and lowered her body, spreading her legs a bit to adopt a more stable stance. she then began twirl the makeshift item, making adjustments as it spun so she would not mistakenly claw her face off.

choosing a specific tree that she believed was a bit sturdier than the rest, yesfir let out a small huff as she used the built up force from the spinning claw to launch it into the air, making sure it was headed to its intended Destination.

its didn't take long for the thing to reach its intended mark, shattering a few fragile branches before slamming hard, claw first against the base where the Trunk ends and the Crown of the tree start, causing an explosion of splinters and leaves, making her wince at the sight of her "holding back."

"I still need to practice my control a bit more it would seem..." she chuckled nervously to herself as she tugged at the rope, trying to see if her grapple managed to do its intended purpose.

Satisfied with the taut rope that refused to budge using a very "small" fraction of her strength, Yesfir walked towards the tree.

eyeballing the massive trunk that easily dwarf her small stature, Yesfir started to deftly ascend its gnarled body. with her current strength and large stamina provided by her stats, it didn' t take too long to reach its crown.

there she witness a breathtaking sight...

far in the distance, a vast expanse of glittering golden Sand could be seen stretching for miles with no end in sight but what really caught yesfir's attention was the massive ivory pillar like structure that stretched towards the sky situated near an oasis surrounded by a sea of tents and white stone buildings.

"Shutra, the satellite city established as a staging point to conquer the ivory tower..." yesfir muttered in surprise and disbelief

"....I really got sent into the world of advent horizon."
