Briony noticed the disgruntled look on Bianca's face but she mistook it for something else. Her face fell and guilt took over. "Sorry, it took me a long time to come here. Dad and Aldrich are refusing to let me go out of the house saying that I had to recuperate. Well, two days of recuperating is enough," Briony explained why she didn't come as soon as Bianca was awake.
But it was not the explanation that Bianca was expecting to hear. Though she doesn't wish to hear that they were busy because of Brina's funeral, she knew that it was the reality that she should accept. "Are you sure you are okay?" Bianca asked again.
