Briony shifted on the couch so she is now facing Aldrich but there is still a safe distance between them. After she made herself comfortable she said, "It first started with smelling my breakfast in my bedroom. At first, I thought it was normal until I realized that Brina couldn't smell it," She smiled when she remembered the time when she said to Brina that her mother was making scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, and grilled tomatoes for breakfast. Brina asked her if she was dreaming. Then Briony said no and said that the scent fills the whole room. Brina just looks at her as if she had grown five heads.
They were ten years old at that time. Brina didn't say anything until they went to the dining room and found out that their mother made breakfast exactly as Briony described it.
