"Say it," Min said. "Or are you hiding a secret?"
Yuna momentarily panicked. She could feel her palms getting sweaty with how Min was interrogating her.
"Sister!" A cute voice suddenly called her, and when she turned her head around, she sighed in relief.
"Rin!" Yuna bent down and hugged little Rin as she never felt this happy meeting up with someone she just saw. "You found me!"
"Sister," Rin affectionately called Yuna and frowned. "You suddenly disappeared, and I worried about you too much!"
Yuna could not help but feel apologetic. Did she just let a little young girl worry about a grown nineteen-year-old young adult?
How could she?
"Sorry, I made you worry for me," Yuna said as she noticed Rin sniffing her, so she showed the bag of dumplings she was holding and said. "I bought dumplings for you and your family to eat, but I would like to ask a favor from you."
"What is it, sister?" Rin asked with expectations in her eyes. She can't help wanting to pinch her adorable chubby cheeks.
"Is it okay to stay at your home for a night?"
"What do you mean by that?" Min's husky voice suddenly made itself known. Yuna almost forgot that he was still at the scene and thought that he already left. " Min walked, stood right next to Rin and held her wrist. "Now you are trying to bait my younger sister to take those dumplings you acquired and stay at our house?"
Wait a minute.
Yuna could not process what Min said all at once.
Did he actually mention that Rin was his younger sister?
Min and Rin.
Well, it made sense. Their first names were similar, but that was all about it.
Ah, yes. Most commoners do not have last names, so Yuna couldn't know if they really were siblings if she was only to base their last names.
"You two are siblings?" Yuna pointed the two using her index finger.
Yuna was asking the obvious; for a moment, she wondered why she asked when she already knew about it.
As she observed the two siblings' faces, she noticed their similar sharp-looking monolid eyes, L-shaped nose, and thin lips.
Rin's facial features are more soft and delicate, and Min's were much more manly and sharp, but one would definitely see the similarities.
Bobbing his head up and down, Min replied, "Yes. Rin is my younger sister."
The moment Min confirmed that fact, Yuna's protective instinct went all out. She felt angry, sad, and disappointed.
Yuna immediately grabbed Rin's wrist and dragged her away from Min, and made her stand right behind her. "How could you make your ten-year-old younger sister go to the mountainous area and search for ginsengs there while you are here in the city wandering around sexually harassing a beautiful young lady like me?"
"Excuse me?" Min's eyes widened as he seemed baffled by what Yuna said. "Did you just say I was sexually harassing you?"
"Yes, I did,"
"Older brother, I am so disappointed in you," Rin spoke as she massaged her temples; her cute voice expressed disappointment. "I never thought that my older brother is a pervert."
"Rin!" Min yelled, "I could not believe how you immediately believed this lady than your older brother! I did not do anything to her!"
"What an old-fashioned way of thinking," Yuna rolled her eyes but then she realized something. "Ah, he was not old-fashioned, but he's just old."
Min was born in the year 899, of course, he's bound to have an old fashioned way of thinking compared to her who was born in the year 1999.
A thousand and a hundred year of difference.
Yes, of course.
"What?" Min sounded annoyed. "Speak words that could be understood, young lady!"
"Ah, no, nothing. Oldies such as you won't be able to understand what I mean," Yuna shrugged. "Look, in my world. Anything that you do can be considered offensive if you do something out of your league."
"Then, would you mind telling me what did I do so wrong?" Min crossed his arms; he seemed to be done with what Yuna was spouting but still gave her a chance. "Song Yuna."
"You looked at me from head to toe," Yuna explained. "And I felt uncomfortable. That is already sexual harassment, okay?"
"I already told you that I only looked at you because I tried to assess if you really were from the land ruled by the Song Dynasty!"
"You looked at me with such perverted eyes!" Yuna pointed out. "That was what mattered the most, young man!"
Min just closed his eyes and exhaled breathily. Yuna could see that she was becoming too annoying for him, but she was having fun of it.
"Look," Min looked like he calmed down and lowered his voice. "Okay, I understand your point now. I apologize that I made you feel uncomfortable with my stare." He went on and held Rin's free hand, "Are you happy now?"
"Thank you for that," Yuna told Min while Rin looked at her. "But I don't think I will be able to forgive you."
"Again," Min was now expressionless; he was just so done of Yuna and her nonsense spouting. "Tell me. What do you want?"
"I will forgive you if you receive this dumpling from me," Yuna said. "And let me stay in your house."
"What? Are you serious?"
"Yes, I am," Yuna replied. "Do you want me to shout nonsense again?"
"Go ahead," Min nonchalantly responded as he turned his back away from Yuna and started walking. "Do whatever you want."
Yuna and Rin followed Min until they reached the main roads of the traditional market that they were at and yelled, "Do you really want to test me, Min?"
Min continued to walk and acted like he heard nothing at all. Feeling desperate, Yuna tried to gather all of her courage, dropped her knees on the ground, and started sobbing.
"That man who is wearing a combination of green and blue clothes with a bandana in his head is trying to ditch me after he got my virginity!"
Rin just looked at Yuna with a confused expression.
Yuna's sobs became more evident.
Min might think she's crazy.
No, she's not crazy but just desperate.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
