Back at the warehouse at tezca's orders Jack had rounded up his crew. There were at least 70 people total making them a formidable force, this was without the inclusion of Tezca's own personal forces. His goons tallied a total of a whopping 150 men at his disposal; Though because of their large number of people a majority of them were at ease mostly sitting idly by as they joked about killing time. When looked at from their perspective most of the guys didn't have any particular reason to be on guard, as most people in town weren't dumb enough to mess with them, Not to mention the fact that the man they all called boss had the authorities in his back pocket. But even with all the odds stacked in their favor Jack didn't seem to hold the same view as the other men in the warehouse.
Outlaw Tristen : " You alright Jack… you seem a little uneasy "
Jack the bloodhound : " Something feels off for some reason…"
Outlaw Tristen : " Stop overthinking things it's all in your head, why don't you come have a drink with us instead "
Random Outlaw : " He's right nothing beats drinking a cold one while getting paid "
Jack the bloodhound: " No thanks, I'll just go check to see what that old bastard's up to "
Outlaw Tristen : " Suit yourself… yo save a spot for me I'm playing "
As Jack stood up he peered over to the corner where the cage that contained the young Kobra was located. As curiosity got the better of him Jack made his way over towards him.
Jack the bloodhound : " Yo runt you hungry or something… "
Kobra : "…"
Jack the bloodhound : " I'm doing you a favor here "
Kobra : " I-I don't want anything…f-from a guy like you "
Jack the bloodhound : " If that's what you want, you can starve for all I care "
As Jack decided to walk away, Kobra called out to him with a desperate look on his bruised and swollen face.
Kobra : " W-wait… "
Jack the bloodhound : " changed your mind kid ? "
Kobra : " Why did you tell your boss you wouldn't work for him if he harmed me "
For some odd reason the words that came from young Kobra's mouth triggered Jack causing him to burst with anger.
Jack the bloodhound : " THATS NONE OF YOUR GOD DAMN BUSINESS YOU DAMN RUNT !!! "
As Jack spoke the surrounding area within the warehouse went silent but only briefly, and just as fast as the silence began it ended as everyone went back to doing as they were.
Jack internally : " Stupid fucking kid… you could die for all I care. Just do it on your own time "
Jack then made his way upstairs into tezca's office. His office was exactly how one would expect of a person of his status, brown leather sofas a dimly lit room that accentuated the overall feeling of being in luxury. As well as the pattern wooden finishes around the walls edges, followed by the cream colored walls that were unnaturally made by smoke. It didn't help that the room smelled like cigars as if the smell was ingrained within the room itself. But what made the room stand out the way it did was the hefty wooden desk that sat at its dead center followed by the man himself Tezca Benedetti.
Jack the bloodhound : " Hey, old man I'm going out; Just giving you a heads up "
Tezca : " Jack my boy, I was just gonna call for you "
Jack the bloodhound : " What for ? "
Tezca : " Earlier today when your men kidnapped that brat from the slums, they found something good. They let me hold on to it for you till you showed up so here"
Tezca with his ever so smug face tossed a decent sized pouch towards Jack. As Jack caught it he realized that it was money within the pouch.
Jack the bloodhound : " What's this for anyways "
Tezca : " What you don't like money "
Jack the bloodhound : " Of course I like money, what I'm saying is why are you giving this to me now the jobs not done "
Tezca : " Don't worry about that, think of it as spoils of war, your men found it asked if it was okay to keep, so I'm giving it to you "
Jack the bloodhound : " How much is in here "
Tezca : " 60,000 give or take, not too bad if I say so my self "
Jack : " Those brats had this much saved up, that's hard to believe "
Tezca : " Apparently the brat in the cage said the girl was planning on buying equipment to become a seeker "
As the conversation took a more interesting turn peeking Jack's interest he decided to sit down, kicking his feet up in the process. Jack then responded with a rather nonchalant expression on his face.
Jack the bloodhound : " A seeker huh ?, seems like everyone wants to become one these days "
Tezca : " looks that way doesn't it, we'll… as long as I'm making money it doesn't concern me in the slightest "
Tezca : " Say jack why don't you reconsider about our continued partnership "
Jack the bloodhound : " Like I said earlier after this little job is over I'm done "
Tezca : " Fine, fine I won't pester you any further… but I gotta say I will definitely miss having you around Jack "
Jack : " Hahaha , you've got jokes old man I'll give you that "
As Jack and Tezca continued their passive aggressive banter, neither of them nor anyone else within the secure vicinity of the warehouse could have predicted what would occur next. As the massive fortified doors of the warehouse would be blown clean off, incapacitating those within it's close proximity. The loud echoing noise of the doors being broken would make it's presence known Throughout the warehouse alerting all of the people inside.
Jack the bloodhound : " W-what the hell was that ! "
FIRST FLOOR
random outlaws/ guards : " h-he's a monster "
Alesul : " WHERE'S JACK ? "
