Triss was right; instead of sulking and crying, Natalie could have put forth her effort to save Don. Sure, she couldn't fight on the fields like the others, but she could do her best to ensure no one else died. Natalie looked from Triss towards Donathan, then back to Triss. "Was Don ever able to smile with you three?" Natalie asked. She felt a strong connection between the second group and Don.
Triss sighed lightly and shook her head, "No. At least, he never showed us. He was always busy protecting us and guiding us. It had to have been when we were ever asleep if he ever did smile. I do believe that we did help ease his pain, though. Well, more so, Nat did. He was strong, stronger than the both of us. Still, I want to honor his feelings. Nat loved Don, that much we are sure of. He would want us to try and save him." Triss answered. She knew deep down that she could do nothing about the situation.
