Linda and Max were going at it pretty hard. However, Max's wild swings and wasted movements were the difference between Linda's expertise and his simple style. He wasted more energy and stamina trying to hit Linda than she was dodging and parrying his attacks. She still waited, and waited, and waited until she found an opening.
With a swift deflect of Max's ice sword, his arms went flying skyward, leaving his chest open, and Linda wasted no time to strike. A quick step forward, two slashes followed up with a thrust that missed the heart because Max moved just in time. She would have sealed his fate then and there if he hadn't forced his body to move.
Linda quickly stepped back; considering she had the upper ground right now, she wouldn't be the aggressor and put herself in a tight spot. She decided to remain calm and composed, taking all the time she needed to kill Max. She knew that letting anger and urgency get the better of her would be her downfall.
