Lax was just about to bring Jake's life to an end. Even Jake accepted his fate since he couldn't move. He could do nothing since his body wasn't reacting, and he didn't know how to do the things he pulled off against General Smith, so he couldn't do them here. Although it was out of arrogance or some other happenstance, both powerhouses completely forgot about three other people.
"Ryan, Dillian, and Sussan?" Jake looked towards the three as he saw them enjoying their victory. "Well I'll be damned, completely forgot about you three..." Jake murmured before he finally fell onto his legs and sat on the ground since his body gave out; however, the gray blood never stopped seeping from his body.
