The heroes were banding together to take out a compelling villain. The villain currently had the upper hand, but the heroes didn't want to give up.
They were doing the best they could to save the entire universe. Vin felt thrilled and excited from watching their battle, hoping the heroes would triumph. The movie came to an abrupt end when one of the heroes died abruptly, and the scene was sad since the heroes were watching their friend's life fade away.
