While everyone was in the middle of doing their other tasks. Alice and Sarah had been in the kitchen. They had just finished cleaning up and were thinking about making lunch; however, everyone mostly seemed to be out and about. So, they decided to check up on the two that they knew were readily available: Tyrone and Noah.
As they entered through the garage, they saw both of them staring at something on the workbench. The girls made their way over to them, which caught Tyrone's attention. He gave them a smile, and a wave, then nudged Noah to try and get his attention. However, he failed. Noah seemed to be far more concentrated on the blueprint before him. The blueprint looked like a staff. Various materials pointed at parts of the staff that were to be used along with the proper measurements and how much needed to be used. If anything, the blueprint looked completed.
"Guys, would you like a snack or something?" Alice asked when they got close enough. Tyrone would smile and nod, "I don't mind." He replied. "What about you, Noah?" Sarah looked towards Noah, who had yet to answer their question. If anything, it looked like he hadn't even realized they were in the room. "Noah." Tyrone would nudge him once again, but Noah seemed to be too focused on the blueprint. His eyes were dead set on the blueprint. Reading it over and over. The reason he was doing this was that he could feel something.
It was before the girls even came into the garage. After he left with Tyrone and entered the garage, he would pull out the blueprint that was set aside and set it on the workbench. Tyrone noticed the blueprint and wondered why he was pulling it out. They set it aside because they didn't have the materials needed to make it. So, he approached Noah and asked him about it.
"Do we have the materials for the blueprint?" Tyrone asked. Surely it was impossible, but maybe Noah had found some somewhere or something. Noah shook his head. "No. I want to see if we can replace the materials with something better." Noah would reply as he stared at the blueprint. Something inside of his mind clicked when he said that. A soft orange was barely notable in the center of his pupil. It had lit up, and as it did, Noah felt something in his heart. It was connecting up to his brain. The more he looked over the blueprint, the more he got this strange feeling.
Noah had been too absorbed in this matter to even notice Tyrone had nudged him or the girls had entered. It was almost like he was in some kind of trace or something. "Do you want to help them?" A voice called out; it sounded like Noah's but was far older than his present voice. "You can. You have the power. The knowledge. All you have to do is create." The voice called out again. Noah would lift his hands subconsciously. The orange in his eyes grew brighter, and shortly after, a flash of orange ran over his hands. When it dimed down, a metallic staff was left in place. The design was plain, but at the tips of the staff were spiked ends.
Everyone in the garage was suddenly surprised. So much so that they didn't know what to say. Noah blinked several times before coming to. He felt cold steel in his hands, and when he did, he looked down to realize he was holding a staff with spiked ends. "Uhhh...." Noah would mutter.
"Noah, how did you do that!?" Tyrone exclaimed with excitement. Noah looked towards Tyrone, then noticed the girls standing there in awe. "Oh... uh..." Noah's cheeks flushed a soft pink. "I don't know. I was thinking of ways to make the staff. If I could create it faster or with better material. When I did, I got this feeling that I could, and then well..." Noah lifted the staff while looking towards it. "This appeared." Noah would walk forward away from them and into a clear open space. As he did, he began swinging the staff around, taking various martial poses. He looked like a martial artist, and when he was finished, he was out of breath and sweating. Noah wasn't an athletic boy, after all.
However, the display impressed everyone. "Wow..." Alice murmured. "Cool..." Sarah would comment. "Awesome!" Tyrone would exclaim. "Where did you learn to do that?" Tyrone asked as she walked up to Noah. Noah would look towards him and shake his head. "I don't know. It just came to me. I know the exact weight of the staff, the sweet spots, how to use it, and what went into it." Noah would remark. "Wow, so you awakened your Seed Power?" Alice called out, and Noah blinked for a moment in thought.
She may have been right. "I think so, but I don't know-how. All I wanted to do was create things to help all of you. The more I thought about it, the more I began to get this feeling. It was burning in my chest, and then it connected to my brain. All of a sudden, I just knew how to make it. The entire process and then it was made." Noah would explain as best he could. "Sounds like a Seed Power to me." Tyrone would comment. "Good job, man!" Tyrone would nudge Noah with a smile.
"What else can you make?" Tyrone asked, and Noah would think about it for a second. "I think as long as I have the general knowledge of what goes into it or the blueprint itself, I can make anything. For example..." Noah would extend his hand out and focus on his Seed Power. The same orange would glow in his eyes as he opened them, and his hand would give off a bright orange light. Once it dimmed down, the Tonto he had created for Don appeared in his hand. "Do you mind?" He looked at Tyrone and offered him the staff.
"Of course." Tyrone would take the staff and rejoin the girls; meanwhile, Noah began using the Tonto. His attacks seemed perfect, and once more, it was like they were watching a martial artist perform; however, it wasn't as long as before. Noah was already tired from using the staff and was even more tired since he had created two items. So the performance didn't last that long. He had created a scabbard for the tonto as well and would sheath it before rejoining the others. They could clap to his performance which caused his cheeks to tinge pink.
"Thanks, but I am a bit tired. I think I know how my Seed Power works a bit more now. It gives me the know-how on how to use whatever I create, but I guess I need more stamina to use it. So, I guess I'll be spending more time working out rather than in the garage. I'll also need to let everyone know that we won't be needing materials. If anything, I should find ways to draft up blueprints for certain items. I am sure I could probably create bats, and pipes, or more staffs as well as blades. I can also create guns, but until I finish taking a part of the various bullets we have and look over them, I won't know how to create those." Noah would explain. He looked tired and looked like he needed to rest.
"Well, for now, let's get you guys something to eat." Sarah would comment, and Noah would nod with a thank you. "That would be nice, thank you." Noah expressed. They were all about to head back into the kitchen when they heard April screaming her lungs out. They had never heard April scream like that. Something must have gotten to her, and so they hurried to see what was going on. As they did, they came across the scene where Jessica was about to roast Mark. Before anything could progress, Rebecca came and drew everyone's attention. Then Mark explained himself, and shortly after, that was when they saw something they didn't think was possible.
They couldn't believe it. Don was standing right behind April with his arms around her. No one knew when he left the room; no one heard him even open the door. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't overly loud either, so surely they could have heard the door open. But it was as if Don had just popped into view.
While the girls were talking with Noah and Tyrone and everyone was doing their own thing. Shortly before April went off. Don was finishing up his conversation with his Trainer. They were still in the black and white area, most likely Don's subconscious.
"Well, sounds like a lot has happened. I am sorry that I wasn't there to be a part of it. I'll have to thank Rebecca, though. One of my worries was leaving you without someone to look after you." Mellisa would comment. Don would shake his head, "No need to apologize. I never once blamed you for anything. If anything, I am happy you took me in back then. I am happy you rescued me from those people and looked after me. I am happy you trained me. So, thank you, Melissa." Don would comment with an expression of gratitude.
Melissa was stunned. She didn't expect this, but she smiled softly in the end. "What, are we all sappy now?" Melissa would punch Don's shoulder lightly with a soft chuckle. "Yeah, yeah. Only for now." Don would reply with a chuckle of his own. Shortly after that, he could hear April's scream. He could hear her speak and everything she had said.
"Looks like it's time for you to wake up." Melissa would comment. Don looked towards Melissa and nodded softly. "Looks like it. It was nice, though. Talking with you again." Don would comment and get up. He would stretch his limbs out. Melissa also got up. "What do you mean? You act like I am going to be gone, and you'll never be able to talk to me again." Melissa would reply. Don would chuckle softly since he saw she wasn't taking his comment seriously. "I guess not. Well, talk to you later then." Don would comment and begin walking towards the depths of the darkness but stopped after several steps. He was prepared to never see his trainer again or even talk to her, but still... he felt like this was it. For all of his preparations, it seemed like it wasn't enough.
"Get going!" Melissa exclaimed and shoved him forward. As she did, he stumbled forward. When he regained his balance, he saw Melissa smiling at him while sending him off with a wave. Don just smirked and turned away, giving her a backward wave while heading off into the depths of the darkness.
Shortly after, his eyes would slowly open. He saw the familiar ceiling of the master bedroom. Everything was blurry at first, but his eyes adjusted rather quickly. He would sit up and look around. He noticed the only other person in the room was Ryan. No one else was around. As he got up, he got dressed in simple clothes. Passing Ryan, he would place a hand on the male's head and ruffle his hair a bit. "I guess I was out too long. Thanks for keeping the others safe." Don would comment with a soft smile. As he left the room, he felt light, and it looked like everything was going in slow motion.
"Oh, I guess I turned on my power unconsciously." Don would comment to himself before turning off; that was when he wrapped his arms around April and spoke with warmth and affection, "Thank you, April."
April heard Don's words and turned around to see him. She would quickly embrace him and cry into his chest. Everyone was stunned. No one said a word, but then they felt an immense amount of pressure. It wasn't normal. It sent chills down everyone's spines. A killing intent that no one would dare to comprehend was coming from Don. "So... why is she crying?" Don's voice was cold, chilly, and dangerous. No one had ever seen Don like this. Sure, he got mad and upset, but this was different. Don wasn't lashing out violently but instead had this calmness. It was like a silent rage.
Don looked around at everyone, "Anyone?" Don inquired after no one spoke up. No one wanted to speak. No one could say a word. They were struck with fear. They felt like Don would kill them at any moment, but that was when Sofia spoke up. She seemed unaffected by Don's pressure and tugged on his shirt. "That bad man over there." Sofia pointed towards Mark.
Don looked down at Sofia then smiled. He would pat her gently on the head. "Thank you, go off to your mom and dad. I'll take care of the rest." Don would state, and Sofia would nod with a smile. Juan and Catalina hadn't even realized Sofia left their side until they saw her next to Don, but when she returned, they felt some sense of ease wash over them.
"So?" Don shifted his eyes towards Mark. They were empty; the depths were far too deep to even see a shimmer of light in them. Rose was the first to notice this. It was unlike when he went after Richard and came back. Back then, they were Abyssal, but this... This seemed even worse. Rose didn't even know if April could stop him or would even be able to reach him.
Mark would open his mouth to explain, and thankfully, Don allowed him to do. Once he finished, Don would close his eyes. "I see." Don would mutter. For a moment, nothing happened. Everyone was going to relax, but then a distort came off of Don. He would lift his hand, and a black glow was vividly in his eyes. Mark was quick. Part of him expected something to happen, so he was ready, but as he tried to attack Don with his string, the string seemed to break and expunge. "Wha?" Mark couldn't finish. He was finding it hard to breathe. He clawed at his neck and tried to gasp for air, but there was nothing there.
Everyone looked at Don. They didn't think anything would happen. Don would probably get mad, tell him off, and that would be it. However, they were wrong. Rose knew something was off with Don the moment he saw his eyes. 'Is this Don's true nature?' Rose thought to herself.
"Don!" Natalie called out and tried to step towards him, but she bumped into something as she did. It was like there was a wall there. She placed her hand on it, but there was nothing there. It felt like a wall, but it was just air. "Don!" Natalie called out to him again. Mark's face was starting to change color. "I should've put some kind of barrier around the house before I passed out. To think you would come in and try to harm someone close to me... Even back then..." Don's eyes would narrow.
"I should have just slit your throat... Once a traitor, always a traitor..." Don would mutter. He was speaking from a rewind. Mark betrayed them. The reason April was kidnapped by the Sin Squad was that Mark leaked out information. They had been hiding and doing relatively well. Still, Mark leaked information simply because he was promised safety for Natalie and himself. In the end, that information leak got nearly everyone killed, and April kidnapped. Don, at the time, had gone out to survey their next area, which was why he wasn't around. When he got back, everyone present was dead, even Sofia. The people that weren't here now that were alive were others he had yet to meet.
The reason Don didn't slit his throat on sight was that maybe this time would be different. Mark usually died off pretty early on in his other rewinds, but the one where he lived longer was where he backed stabbed them.
"Traitor?" Jessica asked, looking at Don. Ion and Jessica were next to April. So she was close to hear them. April hadn't said or done anything. She just kept herself in Don's embrace. "What are you talking about?" Ion asked since he also heard it.
"None of you know, and even if I explained it, none of you would get it. Mark will betray us in the end. All for the safety of himself and Natalie. I won't let someone like that cause the death of many..." Don would reply. Mark's face was now ashen. It was as if Don was suffocating him.
"Betray us? How do you know that?" Jessica asked. Everyone heard Don's words, but no one knew what to say or do. "It's your Seed, isn't it?" Rose inquired when looking at Don. Don would nod. "But, what if you are wrong!?" Natalie called out to try and reason with Don. Don shifted his glance towards her. "Then why is April crying? Do you think I woke up for no reason? I could hear April screaming. She sounded in pain, and when I arrived, I saw her crying. I already know what Mark's Seed Power is. I can easily guess what happened." Don would reply.
Everyone was in shock. How could Don know? He wasn't even here? Did that mean that he could see into the future or something? "April, please! Ask him to stop!" Natalie called out to April. If she couldn't reason with Don, then maybe April could, but April didn't budge. She didn't move. "April!" Natalie called out to her, and this time she shook her head. She couldn't forgive Mark for what he did. She couldn't trust him either because of it. If Mark went that far, what else would he do? When she heard what Don said about Mark, she agreed with him. Mark would most likely betray them. She didn't want to lose Don again. She didn't want to see his lifeless body again.
"Never again..." April would bury her face deeper into Don's chest. "I never want to lose you again!" Her voice was muffled. Don looked down at April softly, then back towards Mark with a glare. Mark's face was a solid blue now. Just a little bit longer, and he would die. Mark did try moving around, but something kept him in place. Every time he tried to get up or move, he felt like he was hitting a wall. He would try to use his string, but it was no use. It only bounced off the invisible wall. So now, Mark was just sitting there with his hands clasped together begging them to spare him.
"April!" Natalie called out once more.
