There was one positive outcome to the lessening of the power output to the knife. Since I was cutting at a much slower speed, the cauterization process was more thorough, less sketchy. The twins were also not panicking as much.

The result is much better now that we're taking our time at it. Our energy output is stabilizing too.

In that manner, we worked nonstop. I had no idea how long we were at it, and I had no idea how much energy we were expending to get the job done.
After awhile, I was even able to sense the timing of when the blade had just about cut through the Topaz bubble layer because I had been doing it for what seemed like forever.
