"Oh, is that who he is?" It was Corwin's turn to move closer.
"Sorry, it was so dark in the dinning hall last night that I didn't really get a good look at you, and you left so soon after we got there I never got a chance to introduce myself."
"It's really nice to meet you," he stuck out his hand in greeting. "I'm Nana's husband, Corwin."
"And I'm Nana's husband, Connor," Connor also stuck his hand out.
Gabriel stiffened, his hands fisted into tight balls. "Why are you making fun of her? She may not be as strong a mage as you are, but that's no reason to make her the butt of your jokes."
"Whoa!" Corwin pulled back his hand and placed both of them, palms out at Gabriel.
"I don't think you understand. We're not making fun of her. She really is our wife, see?" He pointed to his soul-band. "Wife-band!"
Beside him, Connor grinned and shook his band at Gabriel. "I got one too."
