Connor was silent for a moment. It seemed as if he was internalizing this information.
"He is accepting of the demon that resides in his mind?"
Corwin nodded. "Of course. But the demon does not always manifest. In fact, it mostly leaves Louis alone. The demon only shows up when he's needed."
"So he's doing okay, even with a demon inside his soul?" Connor wanted to know.
"Louis Palais seems to be doing just fine. In fact, he calls himself the Super Mage. We only realized there was a demon within him when the scourge wind appeared and his demon had to pop out to protect him."
"I don't have that option. I cannot be within my own body for very long before Malafar takes over." Connor closed his eyes.
I touched Connor's face. "That's because Louis Palais is healthy. He retains possession of his body most of the time. His demon Dicaprio doesn't have to remain within his body constantly to keep his organs from failing."
