I sighed. It was a fair question, and one that I had no easy answer for, but this was the perfect opportunity to clear whatever misunderstandings between our species.

"As individuals, we humans are, for the most part, gentle in nature. We try to work through our problems with as much finesse as we can."
I shook my head. "As a group however, we can seem to be aggressive and warlike due to the way our collective consciousness works. Sometimes, we lack collective empathy of another's viewpoint, and will often reach for solutions where the end results justify the means—and the means often come at a very high cost."
Malafar looked at me with a look that was clear he was not comprehending my explanation.
"I can only draw from past experiences, and what I have seen thus far points to a warring race with few redeeming qualities."
