"Daddy!"
Adrianne was amazed at how things are working in this new world that she's in. They were inside a vehicle that was far different from what they have in Quirrene. She was used to riding a carriage, a grand one where there were golden accessories that would make all vampires jealous.
Her 'Dad', Mike, was in front of them, driving the car as they called it. And the bitch, Eva, was sitting right beside him. Both of them were in front while Adrianne was in the back, watching the pretty sights they passed by.
Buildings that were high in height, modern establishments, and houses that were extravagant to look at. This place… this place was far away better than her Kingdom! How she wished that she could bring all of these modern technologies to her kingdom. But she knew it was not that easy to begin with.
"Abi, what should daddy buy for you before we go home?" Mike's voice echoed throughout the car as silence was surrounding them earlier.
Since yesterday when her daughter, Abigail, miraculously woke up, he thought to himself that it was a way that God gave him a second chance to be a good father to his daughter. He promised that he would try his best to give the time and love that he lacked of giving because of his work.
He would make his wife, his unborn child, and his daughter the importance they needed. He's thankful for the heavens. Maybe it was because his dead wife, the mother of Abigail that made this happen.
Adrianne, in the body of Abigail, smiled sweetly at what her now dad has said. But the emotion that flickered in her eyes was not for a 10-year-old child. The smile was nothing more than a devilish grin hiding behind the smile.
"Daddy, can you buy me apples? And candles too!" She answered excitedly. "Lots of them!"
The man laughed at what his daughter said. "Daddy will buy you lots of apples and candles too. But you need to eat all of the apples, okay? And why do you need candles, darling?
"No problem, daddy! I will eat all of those apples, and I heard from my classmates in the past that they were using candles to melt the colors that they have in their house, and then it will turn out good!." Abigail excitedly clapped in her hand to show how excited she felt.
Looking at the person on the other side, Abigail showed a wide smile. "Auntie, you will help me with eating those apples, right? And I wanted to try melting the colors in the candle with you as well." Pouting her lips, she giggled.
"Of course, darling. We can try to bake those apples and turn them into apple pie, or we can shake them too. I'm sure you'll like it."
"Yay! Daddy, Auntie is really the best!" Her wide smile from earlier widened more at what she heard as an answer. "I can't wait to do things with you, Auntie."
Mike felt enthusiastic at how close his daughter was, to his wife. It was a good thing that he was now married again. He couldn't feel any regret for his choices. He knew that Eva would be a great mother to Abigail, especially on how close they are.
Silence surrounded the whole car afterward. Adrianne continued to look outside. All of the memories of Abigail, the past owner of the body went into her. It was really helpful since Abigail's parents wouldn't be any wiser. They wouldn't suspect anything.
Although she had already known about how people and things were working here, she still couldn't stop herself from admiring it. The place that they've been to yesterday was called a hospital. It was an institution providing medical care for sick or injured people.
Who would have thought that this place exists? In the past, they only had a small place where they treated those vampires who were sick or those who were badly injured that they, themselves, couldn't heal on their own.
They only had herbs that were specially grown for their own usage, not pills or that pointy-thing-that-hurts-like-hell. Vampires could heal on their own. They were born with special abilities. They could heal on their own and do things at a faster rate than humans.
So, the place that was called a hospital would be such a huge waste. She could use the money to spend on herself like to buy the top-quality satin fabrics that she used for clothes, Lavish jewelry, and she could pay the Sangre or the Vampires to do things for her.
With that thought, she quickly remembered her Kingdom. She didn't know whether she could still go back to that place or not. After all, after Abigail's memories went into her, Adrianne knew that Abigail had not heard about their kingdom.
Her loyal man, she wondered how they were doing now. Were they killed too? Like what happened to her? It has already been a lot of years, more than 400 years.
Full-blooded vampires like them could only live for 1000 years. Once they reached the age of 600. Their aging that was stopped when they were 20 would continue to age. At the same time, half-blooded vampires or Sangre could only live until they were like 500 years old.
But she wasn't rushing things. While exploring this world, she would find a way to come back. The hatred that was surrounding her heart fired up. She was controlling her facial expression so that the two couples in front of her couldn't see what she was expressing.
Abigail was known for being a good child. She was jolly and playful. And in this world where vampires and magic had no place and were being ruled by technologies. She would live as Abigail, as a loving child, and would wait for her time to come. The day where she could finally make those traitors pay for what they had done.
