After hours of working at Mrs Mendez's shop and a few other side hustle job she had in the market, Orva was finally done with them and prepared to go home. Her neck, back, and legs hurt from walking and carrying heavy loads but she didn't quit, and continued making herself useful to avoid being caught by the police as an illegal immigrant.
As she walked down the quiet streets leading home, Orva felt someone was watching her. She tries to remind her head that nothing was following her other than the shadows from the walls. But as she got near the end of the alley the feeling intensified prompting her to look back, but nothing was in the shadows or tailing her. At one point Orva thought she felt someone's breath on her neck and when she turned but nothing, not even a single person or animal was lurking behind her.
