Sky's heart thumped wildly in her chest. She allowed Kyra to lead her towards the garden.
"So-" She began to ask him more about himself when he cut her off.
"Your friend Dane Caellustria, the Celestial Demon?" Kyra asked.
"What about him?"
"How fond of him are you?" Sky bit her lip. 'Was Kyra jealous of Dain?' She wondered. "I just usually see you two together and I've heard the rumors."
Sky blinked, "rumors?"
Kyra smiled haplessly, "well, you know, the ones about you and your friends being more than friends. I thought they might be true in Dain's case, so I was wondering."
Sky stumbled, "Dain and I are just friends! He'd be humiliated if he found out about these rumors."
"So, you don't want him?" Kyra asked. His eyes almost seemed angry as they bore into Sky's.
"No. I mean, I do like him- But as a friend. I'm very fond of him as a friend, but I don't have romantic feelings for him." Sky stammered.
