Sky forced turn an uncertain smile, "of course, we're the only ones here."
The male blinked and then slid over to his right. He gestured with his hand for her to sit.
Sky did, placing the tray between them. Gingerly, she picked up one of the morsels and put it in her mouth. The flavors of dill, salmon, and cream cheese burst on her tongue. She couldn't help but smile in delight at how good it was.
"They are really good." she said with a genuine smile at the male. "Try one!" she pushed the tray towards him.
His eyes narrowed on her, but his long fingers snagged one of the crackers. Sky watched as the creature slowly placed the morsel in his mouth and chewed.
"They're good, right?" she beamed.
"They are fine." the creature replied.
He turned his head and began staring off into the distance again. Sky frowned and turned away too. Soon the silence was thick like butter. Faintly, sky heard the orchestra playing.
