They were jogging through the gardens, when they heard a feminine scream of pain.
"You don't think it's another one?" Char asked Rionen with a slight frown. Rionen's mouth tightened and he stole a quick glance at Sky, who was running behind them. He turned back around and grimaced. They quickened their pace in the direction of the scream to a full out sprint. They heard more muffled cries of pain and angry shouting.
"Sign the form." A male voice yelled.
"I can't." A female wailed breathlessly. This was followed by several dull thumps and whimpering.
Rionen and Char, followed by Sky, raced around the last corner in the path. In front of them a female lay in a fetal position on the ground surrounded by six other creatures. Her nose was bloody, and her clothing was torn in numerous places. The skin under the tears was purple black with fresh bruises and red with cuts.
