"I was talking about your father's family." Kyra said with a smirk. Sky paled.
"My father's family is all dead and I can assure you there was no incest. Sir Christoff-"
"I meant your biological father's family." Kyra was beginning to sound like he was getting annoyed. Sky blinked at him as Dain turned to her.
"You're adopted?" he asked. Sky shook her head and licked her lips.
At last she managed to squeak out, "I'm not." Kyra frowned at Dain.
"Has no one told her the results of her full process blood analysis?" Dain's eyebrows drew together in confusion.
"We didn't run one." Kyra frowned at him for a long moment, then turned to Sky.
Raking a hand through his hair, he haltingly asked, "Have you never met anyone that seemed different than everyone else?"
Sky frowned and said, "Um no. I don't think so."
