Jiang Ying Yue watched as Manager Jun and his little brother left the restaurant along with Gu Chen and his servants.
"My lady, we are ready." Li Wu appeared beside her followed by Li Qi after the two of them took care of the payment of the meal that they all just enjoyed.
Jiang Ying Yue slowly nodded her head before the three of them set out towards the Star Lake Manor. They weren't sure about the reason but the area around that mysterious manor was always deserted. They had never come across a single soul so far.
But deep down, Ying Yue knew that the reason behind the lack of any humans around the area was probably due to the spiritual wards that were placed all over the area to keep the manor protected from prying eyes.
As they walked through the deserved streets that were dimly lit by the lanterns hanging around every corner, her thoughts returned to her mates who hadn't contacted her throughout the day.
