Explosives thunder as powers clash. The Summoned Heroes are green, unused to battle, and clumsy with their powers compared to the war veterans that defend their homes.
Yet not even experience nor their fancy machines could withstand the overwhelming might of hundreds upon hundreds of Goddess-Blessed gifts that bore down upon their borders. A single mage or warrior that might match a typical Summoned Hero's might, is a rare talent that blossoms only once every several decades.
The battle flourishes. Heavy losses are taken on both sides. Eventually, the Summoned Heroes retreat, and Ruina remains standing despite the upset it made. The political landscape shifts.
