The beeping sound of the machines was the only thing heard in the silence, Yoo Na's unconscious body attended by the doctors remained flat on the hospital bed with wires and IV drips supplies around her body.
In the mere silence, Jin sat down on the chair staring at her with teary eyes yet he couldn't shed a drop, his palms remained balled as the anger for the one who caused her to be in the hospital grew, he just stared at her face feeling emotionally unstable.
How he wished he could take her away this moment but he knew she wouldn't want that, he lets out a shaky breath when the door opens with the old man walking in with his cap on his hands. "Are you okay, Jin?" He questions approaching him.
Jin hangs his head low as he felt his eyes heavy with the accumulation of tears on them, "H-How...can I-I be?" He stutters out his words as a drop of tears escapes his eyes falling straight on the floor wetting it along.
The man stands beside Jin and pats on his back, "It will be okay, she will be okay. " He says trying to comfort Jin but hearing those words he became more unstable. "Will she?" He says choking on his own words as his sobs finally becomes audible.
"Yes, she will. Yoo Na is a very strong girl. " The old man says fighting with his own tears. Jin sniffs wiping his tears away as he extends his arms grabbing Yoo Na's plan that remained still, "How did you not see who did this to her?" Jin says with a hiccup escaping his mouth.
"I should have gone sooner but... when I didn't see her nor did she picked up her phone I went into the school. " He says wearing the cap back, "When... I walked into the building, the first thing I saw was Yoo Na lying unconscious on the floor all injured. "
Jin shuts his eyes close in both pain and anger, "Whoever did that will pay. " Jin mumbles to himself as he caresses her palm with his thumb, he doesn't stop his tears from falling down as he lets it out, how he wished she would open her eyes already.
"Did you inform them?" Jin questions turning around and facing the old man, "Um, no I derived straight to the hospital and called you. " Jin nods his head at the elder's statement.
"Thank you, uncle Choi. Please let this be a secret. " Jin says eyeing the old man with his red teary eyes, the old man gulps but he nods his head giving in, "I know what you are trying to do. But will they not be back?" He questions back with worry.
"No, they are going for a two-day business trip. " Jin says with his eyes fixed on Yoo Na, "Our poor girl, she is so lovely but the world is so cruel to her. " The old man says shaking his head and firmly gripping his shoulder, Jin blinks his eyes and nods his head.
"Thank you for loving her uncle. " He says looking up at the man with a grateful smile, "How can I not?" The man replies back making Jin chuckle. "Is she staying here today?" The man questions while Jin nods his head subtly.
"Yeah, until she gets conscious and now it's already evening... so she will be here for today. " The man nods his head watching Yoo Na take soft breaths, he slightly smiles seeing her lying so peacefully.
"Do you need me to bring you food?" Jin snaps his head towards the man and tilts his head, "Um, if this not such a trouble..." Jin says with an awkward smile, the man chuckles, "Why would it trouble me? " Jin smiles and nods his head.
"I will come back later. " He says with a smile while Jin nods his head watching the elder walking out of the room leaving him in silence. Jin heaves out a sigh as he rubs his eyes itching because of the dried tears, she sniffs wiping his face and grabbing Yoo Na's hand again.
"Why don't you tell me anything?" He questions to her but with her being unconscious it seemed like he was asking to himself or the air, he sighs blinking his eyes to not cry again. "Wake up already... your brother's handsome face is getting deterioated. " He says chuckling to himself and hoping she would do the same.
But with the silence his smile disappears as he leans his head down against her palm that he had been holding, he silently tears up.

"Yeong Jae, are you okay? You seem distant. " Joo Hyeok mumbles as he walks into his son's room too see him looking at his laptop screen completely dazed, at his father's sudden presence and words he flinches back with the laptop falling down on the bed.
He squeals hurriedly grabbing the laptop and placing it properly on the bed, he closes the laptop shut as he watches Joo Hyeok walking towards him and sitting in front of him on the bed. Yeong Jae gulps knowing to well what he was going to be inquired.
"Who?" The elder questions making he sigh, he looks away, "Nothing dad. " He says trying to avoid the conversation, the elder sighs with a frown, "Is it her?"
Yeong Jae bits his lips nervously not knowing how to answer that very questions but he knows he has no other option than say the truth, he knows everything, mostly everything but that doesn't mean he likes being inquired this way.
"If it is her... so what dad?" He says looking right at him in the eyes, Joo Hyeok sighs baffled by his son's reply. "You know she wouldn't be back again. "
"I know dad... please let's not talk about it. " Yeong Jae says trying to walk out of the room, "Son." He calls out for him making him halt on his step, he himself sighs standing up and walking to the door standing just beside Yeong Jae who didn't dare to meet his gaze.
"It's your room so I will go. " He chuckles patting the younger's back, Yeong Jae smiles at his dad's word. Joo Hyeok walks to the door and turns around looking at him through his shoulder, "It would be better if you find someone more sensible and beautiful then her. "
Yeong Jae snaps his head to his dad surprised with his words, this was something he never thought he would hear from his dad, it was surprising.
"Um, I don't need to... dad. " he says while the elder chuckles shaking his head, "I know you will soon. If not I will help you with it!" The old man announces as he walks away leaving him all flustered and baffled.
"What is happening to dad these day? He is being so caring... like too much." He says to himself tilting his head as he walks back to his bed and sits on it with all those thoughts returning back. He sighs catching the pillow from beside him and pulls it to his lap.
He hugs the pillow resting his head on it, "Should I do what dad says? No... I promised her I would be the same. " He says shaking his head and groaning as he felt conflicted with his own thoughts and his part of mind fighting with him constantly.
"What do I do?" This has been the questions he was so used to asking himself everything he gets conflicted.
