Chapter 33 - Warmth

"Your hand, please?" Yoo Na had her mouth gaped open, eyes bulged, Yeong Jae sighs feeling embarrassed all of a sudden under her gaze, he was cursing inside for his action. He indeed didn't need to turn around on his feet and walk all the way to the nursing room to get a first aid kit for her.

But what could he do when his heart ordered him to do so when the first thing his eyes caught was her injured hands which she hadn't treated yet.

"Such a careless girl." He mumbles shaking his head while he leans forward and gently grabs both of her hands and placing them back on the desk. He opens the kit without meeting her gaze which was boring into him.

"Can you not look at me like that?" He says swiftly meeting her gaze and looking down back at his hands which were busy dabbing medicine on the piece of cotton he had detached from the bundle.

Yoo Na flush with pink-tinted cheeks, it was obvious that she would get caught since she just couldn't move her eyes but hearing him say so got her butterflies inside her stomach and embarrassment hits her hard.

Taking in a deep breath she looks away, the thunder hits the sky with lightning flashing across, the sudden change in environment had Yoo Na freaked out. She tried hard not to flinch at the roaring sky, "It's going to rain again."

"I can...see that." Yoo Na mumbles feeling awkward, Yeong Jae raises a brow at her response.

"I can see that you do have guts to speak like that with your teacher." Yoo Na widens her eyes at his same words, she looks away mumbling a 'sorry', he clears his throat and grabs her hand. She winches snapping her eyes back at him.

She gulps with her eyes pleading him to be soft, "I will be gentle...hold on." He mumbles bringing the cotton closer to her wounds, Yoo Na closes her eyes waiting for the pain and the sting.

"Ahh!" She yelps in pain as the cotton touches her bruise, she opens her eyes when she felt a cold breeze against her palm just to see him blowing against her wound. She flushed again, seeing him up so close and taking care of her... this was something she always wanted.

She wanted him to see her as a woman, a girl he would love to be his forever.

Her eyes never left his figure but her mind went far away into her world with all her thoughts, a smile forms on her lips. "I know... you are just rude on the outside." Yoo Na mumbles to herself with a wide smile now across her lips.

Yeong Jae freeze in his position, he slowly raises his head up to eye her, and seeing her smiling so widely did something to him, something he found troublesome. He just couldn't stop caring for her and he never felt this way, not except for a certain girl he has loved all his life.

He dabbed her bruise a bit hard making Yoo Na winch in pain, he pressed it even hard making her look at him with teary eyes, "Sir... l-let go..." Yoo Na whimpers and blows against her hand with her lips trembling, he didn't say a word.

"Is it you trying to prove something? I don't get why you keep a facade..."Yoo Na says eyeing him with anger and pain, Yeong Jae remains silent observing her. Yoo Na scoffs pulling the cotton piece away from his hold and she sharply looks at him.

"If you have a problem in doing all these... then don't. I can do it myself." She says throwing the cotton piece away not wanting to do anything, she then pulls out a book winching a bit when it brushed against her wound.

"I thought you were here to teach... sir." Yoo Na says opening her book, the raining outside didn't disturb them from bickering, Yeong Jae felt conflicted. He hated being in that position, he abruptly stands up on his feet and walks to the door.

"I actually came to say there is no class for today." Yoo Na scoffs standing up on her feet.

She nods her head, "It would have been better If you had said that instead of wasting your time." Yoo Na says with an eye roll, he felt angered seeing her acting like a brat.

"Excuse me?" He questions with a glare as he walks back to her standing so close making her tremble. "Who are you to me?! Why do you forget that... you are just a student and being that teacher of yours, you became my responsibility." He snaps at her making her hang her head low.

"Then don't!" Yoo Na yells with her teary eyes looking straight at him.

"What?" He questions being confused.

"Don't look after me! No one has ever done and you... don't. You make me want more!!!" Yoo Na yells sniffing and wiping the tears with the sleeve of her shirt that rolled down her cheeks. Yeong Jae was baffled and surprised at her statement, he had no words.

"But...I am your teacher. You shouldn't feel that." He says looking at her trying to hide his emotions like he always had, he wanted to hug her seeing her cry but he knew that was something he wouldn't ever do because it was forbidden by him. He would lose his words if he does so.

"If you are my teacher... then remain as one. DO NOT... play with my feeling!" Yoo Na yells running towards her bag, she swallows all the pain she had as she abruptly packed her bag and hoisted it against her back before dashing out of the class with her tears uncontrolled.

"W-What? I played... her feeling?!" He yells in disbelief not knowing where he went wrong. He sighs getting annoyed. "This girl... she is dangerous." He takes a deep breath looking around, he felt so troubled.

"Why do I have to be so caring?! I never allowed myself to meddle in other's life but... why can't I stop myself when it's her?" He questions himself supporting himself against the wall. With the thunders outside he groans, " I hate rains!" He yells eyeing the dark sky.

"The day was just dark as the sky is." He mumbles heaving out a sigh, he then detaches himself away from the wall and walks out of the class. He walks down the stairs and walks into the teacher's room, packing everything he grabs his bag and walks out of the building.

He takes out an umbrella from his bag and walks out to the gate, he stops on his step when he found Yoo Na curled up in a ball with the rain hitting her body. He looks around but there was no car around, he slowly approaches her.

The more he walks closer the better he heard Yoo Na's muffled cries along with the rain, he felt his throat dry at the sight, he stands just in front of her.

Yoo Na felt the rain drop stop hitting against her body which had her snap her head up but seeing the very face she wished not to see, she couldn't move her gaze away. Despite him being the cause of her pain still, those eyes always gave her warmth.

And just like that, they both ended up staring right into each other waiting for the other to speak.
