Chapter 4 - So dead!

Yoo Na was a mess, breathing heavily and sweating as she holds onto him, he watched her making sure she was taking in all that she received patiently. He knows it was in his nature to be pitying the girl but being the teacher was something that made him be responsible for her.

Well, he was indeed her homeroom teacher. And seeing his own student with whom he had spent just a few weeks in his class made him want to protect her, he didn't want his student to end up bad. He hated those who were bad and didn't study well but he just couldn't stop caring when they were his student to be taken care of.

And seeing Yoo Na's struggle till now was not quite fascinating because she always received a low grade among her classmates but she does pass the exams. And seeing her so distressed standing on the edge of the roof made him think if that same reason was behind her being bad in her studies. He had gone through every student and their records when they are given to him.

Though he was assigned to their class this year which had just started in fact was the last year for her in high school. He wanted to help her overcome her problems mainly related to studies knowing she could have a bright future ahead of her if she works hard. He felt responsible to help her as his student- indeed he was her homeroom teacher.

"Finally done!" The nurse chimes smiling widely at Yoo Na who had tears at the brim of her eyes, she was fighting to keep them in but the pain she received when the nurse was looking around her ankle and moving them was the worst among many she received. It stung her leg and she was hating it.

"You have mild sprain but if this swells up and turns purple even more you need to visit the hospital." The nurse concludes as she grabs a stack of medicines and pulls one tablet from among all, "This will help you bear the pain." She hands her with a smile. Yoo Na finally loosens her grip against his hands as he stood still all this while.

He looks at his wrist and he sighs when his eyes found red scratches and bruises he received from her nails drilling  into his skin yet she was oblivious of that having the pain overtaking her mind. She grabs the tablet and bows her head, "Thank you… Miss." She mumbles taking in a deep breath and wiping her cheeks as the tears drop unable to stay confined within her eyes.

"If you are done then… I will take my leave." He says walking to the door without letting any of them speak. He halts on his step and turns around facing the nurse, "Inform her parent and send her home for today." He says walking out of the room without a second glance.

The nurse sighs and turns around to face Yoo Na who was already lost in her own thoughts, "How did you end up getting hurt? And all of that… having him bring you here?" The nurse says with a hint of amusement and jealousy in her voice, Yoo Na was aware of it.

She was shocked herself, to say the least, and she had no idea how she would explain everything… rather she didn't have to. It wasn't needed.

"Um… I tripped down the stairs when he was just passing by." She mumbles looking down watching her fingers fidget with each other, she hoped the nurse to buy her lie which was completely not a lie. He did happen to be present when she tripped… or when he pulled her to him.

"I see… you sure need to take a bed rest for a few days in a row if you want yourself to heal faster." The nurse says patting Yoo Na's head but she just nods her head, not that affected by her show of affection. She was used to people faking emotions and being less genuine but it was amusing how she still remained neutral when someone does worry about her by a bit.

"Okay. Can I leave?" Yoo Na questions looking up at the nurse for permission. "Wait, let me call your parents." Yoo Na widens her eyes shaking her head no violently making the nurse frown at her. "Why? You cannot walk… you realize that?"

Yoo Na sighs slowly nodding her head and giving a defeated look, "O-Okay… then call my drive, please. Not my parents." She mumbles avoiding the nurse's gaze, "I don't want to trouble them… they are probably busy w-working." She adds trying to not let the nurse get suspicious of her and she explains despite there was no need for her to do that.

She sighs again letting out a desperate whine, "It hurts!" She says caressing the outer part of the bandage, "It will… exercise by rolling your ankles once a day…it will be helpful." She says as she excuses herself walking to the desk. "Is your driver's number registered?" The nurse questions her despite her eyes not leaving the diary listed with numbers.

"Yeah… his number is only that has been registered… so far." She mumbles to herself looking away. The nurse nods her head as she goes through the data log searching for her data logger so that she could find her guardian's number. Soon enough, she finds it and dials the number.

Yoo Na excuses herself for not being interested in the conversation the nurse was having with her driver, she looks away out from the window getting lost in the blue sky. She wasn't thinking anything but her mind was just blank with her getting lost in nothing. Her eyes were scanning the outer world which was yet so familiar and different.

This was the same place she hated and she still hates but she had a feeling things would change, that everything around her will change. Most probably, she would change to a better her. She was sure of it, she was not the same old Yoo Na who always hid her insecurities behind a wall. She wanted to break free from the chains keeping her in a place with force.

She wanted to be free and be one's owner, she was longing for freedom. But yet, she felt different. As if she had her coming to a phase where even her thoughts would change the way she did or she will. She was waiting for it but yet she was scared. She could just spread her arms and wait to embrace everything coming up to her.

But she was gonna put effort to make it the way she wants, a smile spreads on her lips as she thinks of doing better. The energy that surged inside her made her feel so fresh and… alive.

"Just take rest for a while… I will be going out." The nurse says heading out of the room leaving her alone inside the room. Yoo Na sighs looking out of the window, she leans towards the window and slowly slides it open making the clod breeze from outside brush against her, it felt so good. She hmms in delight at the breeze hitting her face, her eyes falling on the mirror inside the room.

She slowly walks out of the bed and actually limps out with one leg while her hands support her weight holding onto the wall. She struggles to stand straight in front of the mirror, it was not that big but enough for her to see the upper torso to her face. She cringes as she eyes herself, "Such a mess…" She mumbles shaking her head.

The door suddenly burst open making Yoo Na flinch, she turns around eyeing the person standing at the door with her chest heaving up and down as if she just had a marathon. "Hi." Yoo Na says waving her hands to the figure but the girl walks in with a glare without returning Yoo Na's greeting.

"You are so dead!" The girl says gritting her teeth as she approaches Yoo Na with a glare.
