Wang Zhao was busy in his work affairs. He was back in the country and had to revise the working system. He was in his office when his phone ringed. His father, he sighed and raised the phone to his ear. "Good afternoon Dad."
"Good afternoon son, Last time we talked about family dinner you remember?" He heard a stern voice from the other side.
Wang Zhao frowned," Yes I do."
Mr.Wang sighed on the other end. "I want you to call Mr.Sang and invite him personally, I will send you his contact."
"I will do that right away. Don't worry." Wang Zhao relaxed his brows.
He ended the call and he received a message from his father. He frowned, the contact card said 'Sang.' His father won't make this mistake to send him wrong number, can he? He doubted it, he didn't want to call but, in the end he did.
The ring went through and finally the phone was answered. He heard nothing from the other end so he acted smart and tried to sound as natural as he could. "Good afternoon uncle Sang. It's me Wang Zhao." He didn't hear anything from the other end yet.
He then heard a calm voice from the other end. Definitely not a masculine voice. "Good afternoon. I am Sang Qian and this is my number. I will text you Mr.Sang's number right away. Thankyou!"
Wang Zhao's heart unintentionally skipped a beat. He never expected it to be her and the way she spoke has really changed. The coldness in her voice was also clear.
Before he could respond, the call was ended from the other side. He glanced at his phone once and then he let out a deep breath.
"It's okay, At least I got Uncle Sang's number. That's what matters." He was reassuring himself with his own words and again completely deleting whatever just happened from his memory, he dialled Mr.Sang's number.

A week had passed since Sang Qian faced Wang Zhao. Nothing has changed, surprisingly it wasn't affecting her at all. She was all happy, busy with her meetings and usual stuff.
She was sitting in her office going through a file when her phone buzzed. She lifted it up to her ear without bothering much.
She heard a deep voice. "Good afternoon uncle Sang. It's me Wang Zhao."
She was surprised at first but scoffed when she heard his words, was that a joke? Wang Zhao was calling on her phone and wanted to talk to her father.
Sang Qian cleared her throat. "Good afternoon. I am Sang Qian and this is my number. I will text you Mr.Sang's number right away. Thankyou!"
She ended the call right away not wanting to waste her energy on him anymore. She twitched her lips and sent him her father's number. She didn't bother saving his number once.
Flipping her phone to a side she continued her work, after a few minutes, she heard her phone buzzing again. This time it was her father, did Wang Zhao complain about her already?! What did she do?! Even though she was 25 years old. Her father's call always made her worry if she did cause some trouble!
Raising the phone to her ear she said in a very respectful manner. "Good afternoon dad." She heard him sigh.
"Good afternoon. I just want to tell you that we are going on a dinner with Wangs' tonight and you will not make a fuss, no drama, dress like a lady and go with us. I REPEAT NO DRAMA!"
She closed her eyes and bit her lip, he warned her before she could deny him. Damn! She didn't want to go on a family dinner, that's where it gets worse every-time for her but she didn't have any choice and she ended up agreeing.
"Okay dad."
"Reach the Wang Mansion by 7." The call was ended from the other end.
And she heard the beep sound indicating that the call has been cut. She was so mad. Ugh! She had to go and buy this new ladylike dress now?!!
She cursed the one who planned this dinner. She also has to face Wang Zhao again for a whole dinner. Thought of the scenario made her mad for no reason.
She completed her work and decided to leave early cause she had to but a suitable dress. After an hour long shopping, she ended up buying a nude tight skirt which ended right below her knees and a black fishnet top with a spare blouse underneath.
She got back home and took a bath before she dressed up for the dinner. She let her hair fall over her shoulders. Paired her outfit with her black heels and boom! She looked beautiful. After applying some makeup she was ready to go.

Wang Zhao looked at himself in the mirror, a formal shirt and pant will do. He doesn't feel like wearing a suit today. He rolled his sleeves up lightly and then he took out his phone dialling Mi Chan's number, his girlfriend. He smiled through the screen when the phone was answered," Good morning love."
Mi Chan's beautiful face was displayed on the screen as she placed the phone on one side and worked side by side. She answered back with a cheeky smile. "Very good morning. Oh sorry, Good evening since it's almost night time in your timezone."
He couldn't get enough of her. Taking a seat on the couch he eyed her silently until she lifted her phone to take a closer look at him.
"Oh my god Zhao, You look so damn hot in that outfit. I wish I was there."
He nodded. "I wish that too. I want you by my side so bad."
She laughed. "I was just joking, you are too serious, I already booked my flight, I will come back tomorrow. I was working because I am bored."
"Okay. Then I should get going. We have a family dinner with Sangs'." He smiled.
Mi Chan frowned. "So Sang Qian will be there too?"
Wang Zhao didn't know why he didn't like the way she was questioning him but he understood, after all that Sang Qian did to Mi Chan, how can she like her. He nodded. "Of course."
She sighed. "It's okay. Just ignore her, don't need to get worked up because of her. I will be back and then you can have your reward."
She winked and he smiled again," I am excited already. Anyways. Take care love. I will call you later." She smiled back and the call was ended.
Putting his phone back in his pocket he walked outside his apartment and drove to the mansion. And damn, the first person he witnessed was Sang Qian. What was she doing in the parking area?
She was talking with someone over the call. Her walk was elegant as she walked back and forth again and again. He eyed her. Her dressing was lady like. Her hair tucked behind her ear.
He stepped out of the car and closed the door with a loud bang intentionally. She looked up and almost froze for a split second before she looked down again and continued with her call.
Wang Zhao clenched his jaw and started walking inside and he noticed she was following him. He looked back and frowned. "Why are you following me? Weren't you talking to someone over the phone just now? You haven't changed at all."
She scoffed. "This isn't what you say when you meet an old enemy. You at-least have to greet them before you start to leash out like this for no reason."
He smirked. "I don't need to greet someone as lowly as you."
"Why are you so full of yourself? I realized my mistake years ago. Don't worry, I have changed, for the better this time." Sang Qian's eyes flashed with hatred.
He looked straight in her eyes. "Ok, I hope what you said is the truth. And if not, you better make your words come true."
Sang Qian sighed. "Stop ruining the mood. We have to pretend like We are happy, and you already made it difficult for me." She walked away.
Wang Zhao's eyes flashed with a glint of anger but he knew she was right, they couldn't ruin the family dinner. He simply followed along.
They entered the main dining area, and saw everyone already chatting. Their parents and their siblings too.
Wang Zhao had a younger brother but Sang Qian had an older sister who was almost Wang Zhao's age. Both of them smiled at everyone as Mrs. Wang complimented them. "Oh the powerful rival duo is here!"
Sang Qian smiled lightly and hugged Mrs. Wang and bowed to Mr. Wang before she smacked Wang Yuhan. "How are you doing my boi."
Wang Yuhan glared at her. "I am older than you."
She giggled. "Did I ever care?"
He rolled his eyes and shook his head. She took a seat between him and his mother. "What are you doing on Ladies' side."
He sighed," Your sister wanted to talk with her dear friend." He gestured towards Wang Zhao and Sang Yinuo.
Sang Qian's eyes traveled to them and she rolled her eyes. "It's okay, you are stuck with me, like always. No one likes us."
Wang Yuhan scoffed. "No one likes YOU. I can still mix up with them all."
Sang Qian sighed. "True."
Somewhere she was hurt. It was true, she was always an odd one in their friend group. Only Qin Si was closest to her. They all were friends just for the sake of their parents. She was lost in her thoughts when Mr.Wang asked the dinner to be served.
