When Sang Qian noticed Mi Chan's interaction with Wang Zhao, she didn't get good vibes. She knew that Mi Chan could be her love rival in the near future but she didn't care. She walked outside following them and didn't miss the smile on Mi Chan's face. But she ignored it. Why was she working herself off on them.
After sometime, she asked her assistant for her stuff which included her bag and another small bag, the carrot cake, she knew he liked it. So she asked Mr.Xia to buy it for Wang Zhao. She was happy today. She was waiting for a few minutes outside his office and finally she noticed Mi Chan walk outside. Their eyes met.
Sang Qian eyed her. Mi Chan was staring at her so intensely that it made her feel slightly weird. She frowned," Am I that beautiful?" Mi Chan shook her head," Oh I didn't mean it." Sang Qian sighed," So I am not. I see." Mi Chan didn't know why she thought Sang Qian and Wang Zhao messed with her in the same way, their words were so twisted," No, Miss Sang, You're seriously really pretty and I have to say you are just so cool."
Sang Qian smiled," thanks Miss Mi Chan." She didn't know her name until she asked her assistant about her. Mi Chan seemed like a sweet girl to her. She looked like a mix of a nerd and a fox. She was blessed with good looks too. Mi Chan smiled," Mr. Wang was asking for you." Sang Qian sighed," Oh, ok. Let's talk later." Mi Chan smiled at her and Sang Qian walked inside.
She knocked on the door and then walked inside. Wang Zhao sighed when his eyes landed on the small bag in her hand. She walked over placing it over the table. She handed the file to him taking a seat opposite to him. He sighed," So, What's different in this one." She shrugged," Read it yourself."
He opened the file and jumped straight to the last page," I don't want to waste time on that. It might be profitable for you. If my dad had signed, I will sign it too." She frowned," what do you mean. You didn't even read it yet." He shrugged," So? I have to sign in anyways. Whatever is written is useless."
She laughed coldly and just then Mi Chan entered the office with paperwork," here is the official contract. Please sign it." She handed it over to Sang Qian. Sang Qian smiled politely and nodded. She pulled her personal gold plated pen from her pocket and read the contract thoroughly. Wang Zhao gestured Mi Chan to leave and she did.
Sang Qian sighed and signed the contract," here it is. By the way, Give me the papers, I will send a copy." He with one hand received the file and with the other passed her the one he held. She smirked and tore the contract and threw it on his desk," Here is the value of this contract. You know what? You are judging me wrong. Anyways, eat the cake if you want or throw it in the bin. I bought it out of ... what? I don't even have a reason. I will take it back with me, nevermind."
He was just staring at her as anger flashed in his eyes because of her actions. He saw her smile at him before she left with the small cake bag. On her way she handed the bag to Mi Chan," Your boss is a jerk. But you deserve this, since you are so cute of a secretary. I hope to see you more. Bye cutie."
Mi Chan smiled and waved," thank-you so much Sister Qian, I am sorry, Miss Sang." Sang Qian winked," I like the first one. Have a nice day!" Mi Chan mumbled," you too!" She looked down in the bag and smile bloomed on her face, new treat! Yay!

A few days pass by, as Sang Qian starts working on the project with her team. Occasionally meeting Wang Zhao but she was really pissed after what happened the last time. She would always tease Mi Chan whenever they met. She had formed a good friendship with the latter.
Now, it was just like any other day, Sang Qian was busy in her office doing work. Her phone ringed. She looked down and she knew what was coming. Her mother could either yell at her or ask for a favour. She smiled lightly, as she raised the phone to her ear.
She heard her mother's sweet voice," Good morning Qian." Sang Qian raised a brow," good morning mom, why you calling me at this time, its unusual." She heard a sigh from the other end," I wanted to tell you that, today is a family dinner with the Wangs in celebration to a new collaboration among you children. We are really proud and happy."
Sang Qian blushed at the thought of dinner with Wang Zhao," Ok Mom. So what's the venue?" Mrs Sang replied," I will text you the details and location. But please reach by time. And dress decent, like a lady." Sang Qian smiled," Sure Mom."
The call was ended. Her face turned cold again when she was reminded of the time he misunderstood her in the office. Why was he always like this towards her? She didn't remember doing something wrong. She was just herself. The agreement she had asked him to sign was just a professional agreement to keep their business and professional life separate.
She pressed her temples. It was frustrating to justify herself to him and she wasn't the type to. Why would she? She isn't wrong. She got up from her seat and walked to the window. Looking out she noticed Mi Chan and Wang Zhao walking inside the building. What are they doing here? Although she'd noticed how they were smiling at each other, she ignored it.
She dialled her Mr.Xia's number," please get me a cup of Americano, I need it asap!" Ending the call she walked back to her desk. Her life has been pretty busy lately. She was focused on work and didn't really care about other stuff. Her office building wasn't that big yet. It was just like a three storey building. She didn't have much staff cause she didn't need much yet.
Her office was the biggest one on top floor with a meeting room and manager's cabinet. She wanted to move into a new building as soon as her project rocket launches itself. She was busy preparing for everything, making sure that before the final meeting and decision day, she would end this part of the project.
She was lost in her thoughts when she heard someone knock on the door. She casually answered," Come In." She raised her eyes to look at the tall figure that appeared in front of her making her heart skip a beat. Wang Zhao looked handsome with his hair pulled back neatly and in that grey suit.
Her eyes moved back at Mi Chan and she smiled at her before it dropped again and she gestured them to sit," Have a seat, both of you." She bookmarked the file page before closing it and placing it aside. Mr.Xia also followed them inside placing the coffee on the table and he bowed before leaving.
She raised a brow," It's a surprise to see you both here." She turned to look at Mi Chan," Do you like my office?" Mi Chan nodded whereas Wang Zhao frowned," I am here for something important." Sang Qian's brows furrowed together as she waited for him to say something else.
He continued," there was a huge mistake in the budget. We have to take back almost half of the amount in the budget. Investing in a start-up with such a big amount can be a huge risk and a loss." Sang Qian looked back with a cold look," but the contract?"
He sighed," That's why I am personally here. We're sorry about that. I had to bring the new contract with me." She smirked," how long does it take you to realize this mistake? Two weeks? It's not a short time Wang Zhao. You need to understand the fact that I have been planning all the way here with the budget provided. I am just two days away before finalizing everything and start working."
Wang Zhao smiled," I apologized for my mistake, what more can I do than to fix this. If you don't want it then you can cancel the contract and start up on yourself." She paused to look at him, the fact that it was her dream to collaborate with him was now vanished. She didn't do it for money and profit, rather cause she had always wanted to work with him.
Those words gave her a sharp pain in her heart. Despite that, She smiled lightly," Ok, then. Let's cancel the contract. As I said earlier, it's clearly mentioned, that the party which proposes to cancel it, will have to make sure that no information or ideas are to be copied otherwise legal actions will be taken. Don't worry about the compensation amount. I don't need it."
She didn't miss the look of slight surprise on his face. Her smile was cold," I said, Let's cancel it." Wang Zhao stared at her. She sighed," and Don't worry, I won't involve anyone in this except you and me." She sipped her coffee not once breaking the eye contact. She looked at Mi Chan and smiled," I will miss messing with you cutie."
Mi Chan smiled sadly at her. Wang Zhao looked at Mi Chan," Wait outside for me." Mi Chan walked out bowing lightly. He looked back at Sang Qian," It's you and me now. You don't have to pretend. I told you it was a mistake, And please act mature."
Sang Qian frowned," what do you mean? I don't have to pretend? Well, let me tell you. I am really stubborn and mature enough to take decisions. It is a risk for your company anyways, then don't invest in my business. And If you think I cannot manage, you're quite wrong. I am the one being professional here keeping my personal life and grudges out of everything. You keep judging me, that's your own problem."
He sighed," What will you tell to your dad about this. That I cancelled it?" She smirked," Nope! I will tell him that I don't feel like working with you anymore. It's my business so he can't force me to work with you anyway." Wang Zhao smiled coldly," Good, I won't have to waste my resources on a startup."
She smiled and took another sip of her coffee," That's true. Have a nice day, meet you at the family dinner tonight."
