Mrs. Wang was leaned against the bedpost. Her eyes swelled and red. Her face looked dark and pale. She seemed lifeless. Her expression was blank. She seemed rather pitiful.
Her black clothing didn't seem to make her look prettier. She was lost in her world as her eyes were focused on nothing. Her chest heaved up and down in a calm rhythm. To her, the world was no longer the same. Her only life partner was gone and his loss made her heart stop.
She couldn't feel anything. Only the despair of him leaving her behind, was engulfing her heart and soul. She felt nothing but the heart-wrenching pain. She was laying there lost in the memories of her husband.
She heard the sound of the door being opened. She turned her torso around and she saw Wang Zhao. He took after his fathers. He reminded her of her husband's younger days. Her eyes welled up again.
