That sound was beyond annoying, but the fact that I could hear it meant that I was still alive. I could feel all my limbs, though both my hands burned and my eyes itched like hell. It took a moment for me to realize those feelings and what it could possibly mean. I jerked up from the bed I was lying on, roughly pulling the needle inserted into my veins out, I hissed in pain and ignored the blood that spilled out of my skin as what I was most afraid to see popped up in front of me.
