The man with the shield was most definitely enthusiastic about this fight, and if he wanted Asd to give it his all, then there was nothing holding the Werelion back from fighting with everything he had. There were still quite a few enemies to move through, but all Asd wanted to do was stall for time so that the others could find the entrance to the tunnels below the city. There was no need to aim for total decimation or annihilation. But he had to keep their attention on himself, long enough that Riana and the others would be safe.
