Taaliyah had tears in her eyes. She shook her head. "It's negative," he said. Derek felt sad and dropped the stick on the floor. He hugged her and consoled her. He felt bad to see that it's negative.
Taaliyah was not pregnant. Her period was simply delayed due to stress and improper food diet leading to hormonal imbalance. She was not pregnant. Taaliyah felt relieved but utterly disappointed and so was Derek. Derek was hoping for the baby but seeing the result, he felt terrible suddenly. He stood hugging her for some minutes rubbing her back and stroking her hair. When she was done crying, she moved back. She wiped her tears. And looked him in the eye.
"Let's talk," she said seriously.
"Okay," he said and sat down.
"Derek,"
He nodded.
