The sky was clear, the stars visible, but soon hidden by the clouds. Every thing was dull. The sounds of running foot steps, the brakes screeching, the vibration beneath as each vehicle passes, the faint smell of the mud and dust, the chillness in the atmosphere, the howling wind echoing in the ear, the throbbing heart, the ache on the right leg, and the pain in the arms and knees where the blood oozed out a little. The visions blurred with tears in the eyes. Derek closed his eyes. He felt too tired of everything.
"Derek, Derek," John came running towards his son screaming name and Amy behind him. She was shocked and she did not know what to do. She looked around and saw people walking towards them, to give a hand, to help. the vehicles passed by stopped, the crowd increased and someone called for an ambulance.
"What the hell were you doing? Is this how You taught a little boy to sit in the car alone playing with the door?"
"Did you not check whether the door locks or not?"
