Since it was Elihim, this kind of a 'stupid idealistic' idea becomes an interesting scheme. After all, anyone else who will say that kind of words to either of them would be seen as a child.
But even Merim, the more open-minded person of the two, was unable to accept intentionally inciting war for whatever reason may it be.
"This place is too peaceful. Sure, there are big animals that push people to improve but they are not much of a threat for Imagis. The Death Palace is just there, not moving or anything, which means, there's nothing really threatening for civilization."
Elihim continued to explain, summarizing it as much as possible for the two to understand where his words are coming from. If he felt them with the feeling of disagreement with his plan, they may intervene on it in the future, especially Merim. Therefore, he had to persuade them at the very least.
On the other hand, that was not really what goes through the pair's mind at this moment.
'Is he saying that if he can use the Death Palace, he will?'
If Elihim is not crazy then he's like the demon lord for considering pitting people against hell itself, the two thought. Both of them knew that Elihim may have the skill for it. Merim has learned that even in the otherworlds, Elihim was extraordinary. Meanwhile, Hresha personally witnessed how Elihim crushed Death Dwellers by using pure Puppeteering.
If Elihim told them that he would use the Death Dwellers for something, they would probably not think of it as a joke but from how he worded it, he considered using the Death Palace instead of 'just' Death Dwellers.
Just what is the Death Palace in comparison to the Death Palace? It's like saying he's going to use the Reland instead of individual humans in it!
The two internally sighed.
'If I keep overthinking about these things, I wouldn't be able to keep up with him.' Merim thought and Hresha thought the same.
"That's why we need war. It's like having a rival, or gaining experience through life and death situations, or improving under pressure, or all of it at the same time since it's war we're talking about. The Emeralkan Academy will be the center of it and under my command, you two will greatly contribute, extending your influences more than just within the city."
Of course, after attempting to persuade them, Elihim didn't forget to add a little incentive at the end of his explanation. Not only will this put a carrot in front of them, if their influence truly increases, but they will also become more valuable for Elihim.
And just like he expected, both Hresha and even Merim had glitters in their eyes even though the latter seemed indifferent to it.
With this, if they try to intervene with Elihim's procedures, they will also be intervening in their own success. None of them were righteous people from the start, that's why Elihim is okay in using them.
After the two left, Elihim went back to his family mansion first to inform them of his return. Mainly though, he just indirectly told Ellie that it's okay to come back to their 'cave' now. Ellie was obviously delighted with this and went with Elihim that very same night after dinner.
He didn't speak of his goals to his Heron, Lyssa, and especially, Ellie. There's no point and it would just become a problem. The couple didn't have a problem with this in itself since they're aware that Elihim is more mature than them, however, they still believe that he's their son and they prefer it if he's open about his life from time to time.
"Is this what it feels like having your child grow up and have his own life?"
Heron wiped his teary eyes.
"He grew up so fast. It's like he was just a little boy last year." he continued.
"It's because he's still literally a little boy even now, dear, stop being overdramatic." Lyssa just laughed at her husband's play.
In the cave that has now extravagant furnishing and smart engineering within, Ellie was asking a lot of questions that Elihim didn't realize that it was already in the middle of the night and she's still just halfway done.
"Ellie, I think it's time to sleep. I'll answer your questions tomorrow, okay?"
"Alright! Goodnight, Elihi!"
"Goodnight to you too, Ellie!" Elihim smiled but when he was about to exit the room, Ellie called.
"Wait, I thought we're going to sleep?"
"Ah... I still have to write a letter so you can sleep first, I'll join later."
"Then, I'll wait for Elih-haaa~" Ellie said even though she's already yawning.
Still smiling at this, Elihim said, "Okay, you can wait for me on the bed since it's cold outside."
"Okay..."
Elihim then left the door. Since he had already prepared the contents, he just copied and 'printed' it on another paper by using ink and his excellent control of Puppeteering. Over the course of a few months, he was able to practice multitasking.
There was not a moment he was slacking off except for when he chats and plays with Ellie which he considers as rest time. Rest is as important as working.
Under the moonlight, he placed two sets of paper in two paper envelopes and gave them to Drake and Jake respectively.
After a few months, although Drake and Jake still looked like ordinary pigeons, Elihim has applied not just [Law] but also [Soul] into them. He did not use [Connect] as that would just be unnecessary, he considered.
Their appearances are for camouflaging and their real forms are quite different now. If they want, they can turn invisible, however, that would take a lot of energy so having the appearances of pigeons are convenient.
From how that sounds, it seemed like they now have intelligence which they actually have thanks to upgrading their 'pigeon' souls into a more sentient ones. However, they are not smarter than toddlers, yet.
Once Elihim finds that riches in the ground, he will be able to use Law more often. After all, he was only able to use a [Soul] technique by using it through Law.
Only Elihim, master of both world systems, is able to achieve such a complex mechanism.
After setting his pigeons off, Elihim went back to the bedroom to see a comical scene. Ellie was still awake which was unexpected. Furthermore, she had a focused expression as she used her fingers to open her eyelids, probably in an attempt to avoid sleeping. She was nodding off from time to time.
But the moment she noticed Elihim was there, she relaxed and dropped onto the bed and directly fell asleep.
Elihim ploy of letting Ellie wait on the bed and eventually sleep failed by the little sister's sheer determination to wait for her big brother. This made Elihim happy and fearful for the future. But now is not the future. It's time to put all that scheming, planning, and plotting to rest as it's time to sleep...
About a quarter of an hour later, Merim and Hresha finally received their letters. They sighed in relief since they began to think that they've misunderstood and that Elihim wouldn't send any letters that night. They are also dozing off from time to time. However, their wait paid off but when they received several pages in the envelope, it seemed that their night is just getting started.
