Elihim responded to Wey's 'compassion' and ate a lot of meat. While Wey was smiling, inwardly, she was complaining.
'How much are you going to eat!? This isn't a buffet. Can I say no? But that would make me inconsiderate. I have to make sure that next time, this kid will praise me in front of Sir Merim.'
Wey continued to daydream but Kurtan didn't let her.
"That's the last stick boy. Remember, we are taking care of you out of Sir Merim's kindness, not out of us. If you contribute then I would've been lenient."
"Right, right!" Jeram laughed after Kurtan's strict words.
This Wey frown, but inwardly, she felt gratitude.
'Thanks to them, I can forbid him from eating any longer while acting as his protector.'
"Uncle Kurtan, he's just a beggar. Look at his state, he's so thin. Can you imagine, this might be the first time that he's eating meat. Can you give him one last stick?"
Wey then glanced at Elihim and winked.
'How's that? I'm kind, right?'
All of them just secretly sighed and rolled their eyeballs.
Elihim: 'You say much harsher words. The meat isn't that even good.'
The night began deep enough for them to be sleepy. However, the Senior Imagis at Spirit Stage would take turns to scout and not let any accidents or "incidents" happen during the night.
Dawn quickly came and this time, all of the students would start in the morning. Of course, they had their morning routine of cleaning themselves with wet towels, helped by Water Imagis. Needless to say, men and women were separated.
There was meat on sticks for breakfast but it is not like any of them complained. Eating meat at that age is already pretty much a luxury.\
"Here you go, Elihim." Wey passed another stick to Elihim which she received a warm smile from him.
"Thank you, Sister Wey."
"Don't mind it." Wey smiled but, of course, she was saying different things internally.
'He really thinks that I care about him. But what can I say? He's just a little disabled beggar. Give him enough food and safety, he will definitely cling to you. But don't cling too much, okay? I might get pissed and destroy my act.'
As if Elihim can read her mind, he replied in his head.
'Sure, I'm getting grossed out by your intentions, anyway.'
When they finished breakfast and cleaned up, they rested for half an hour before they were sent out again to hunt.
"Haha... my body still hurts from yesterday." Kurtan muttered when they finally returned to their post.
Just like yesterday, Elihim was left alone since he will be just a burden. If anything happens to him, he just needs to shout.
But while he was staying there, relaxed at the shed, he felt eyes observing him from somewhere not far but not near either.
'I want to walk around and observe others but it seemed like I cannot do it.'
Fortunately, Elihim didn't need to go there physically. While he was just swinging his feet while waiting for the others to come back, his birds that increased to a flock led by Drake and Jake spread out to watch over others.
After these few months, it should be obvious that Elihim got stronger by miles. He built his own home in the mountains all by himself. Just like muscles, imaginative power can be strengthened by using it extensively until Elihim felt burnout.
The students who were on the lower stages were focused on learning the theories around their affinities. The more they learn, the greater the area of their expertise and the more they can imagine their affinities. Connecting it to their chosen profession, they have to learn and read a lot for that.
Their imaginative power may go deeper but not higher. In other words, their imagination's stamina is weak!
But unlike them, Elihim already knows, not theories, but facts!
That is why he can improve so much. As for how he can become an Imagi before regaining his memories, that might be because of his Good Karma. Although he no longer had his Golden Karma, much less, Crowned Karma, he was still left with Good Karma.
Elihim can definitely regain his Good Karma, however, having Bad Karma is better right now. Why? Karma Strings.
If he interacted with another, as if their fates will be attached to one another, Karma Strings will be formed. Under this Karma String is, again, fate, then relationship, destiny, circumstances, emotions, etc.
Just anything that might affect the Karma of one another, Elihim calls it Karma Strings. What he needs to do is to cut this off completely once he had reached an age where he can finally rest.
What age is that?
Maybe eighteen or twenty, Elihim thought. Since he was just eight years old, he still has ten years and considering that there are no more than just ten people to whom his Karma Strings are attached, it should be easy... at first look.
'in the future, I will have to meet new people and these people have other people which I will be secondarily tied to. What I can do is sever it as soon as possible. With Bad Karma, the people around me will share my misfortune. All I just need to do is help them to sever the string. If I have Good Karma though... I will need to wait for them to return my fortune which they might not even do so, letting our fates forever connected.'
Elihim thought while he was under the shed.
"Why do I feel profundities from this kid?" Hresha thought while she was observing Elihim from a place not far but not near.
"It's like looking at a wise old man. Why do I feel that? I haven't even heard him say anything yet... It's in his expression... He's too calm and too... confident which a little disabled beggar should never have.'
Elihim had no idea but his old habit dies hard. While he's concentrating for what he will need to do in the future, the natural wise look he had is emitting.
