Quickly opening the door to the stairway, Alvian was about to close it when he felt a stinging sensation. He quickly twisted his hips, shifting his weight to the side.
Closely dodging a claw slashing down at his face. In that moment, Alvian's heartbeat speed up and his eyes glowed brightly as excitement began to shine from deep within his eyes. This was the thrill he had been seeking for for the past 2 years but was unable to find.
Utilising the momentum he had built, he turned around and with his other arm cleaved at the ambushing zombie's head with the Fire Axe. Splitting it in half, spilling blood, fluid and brain matter all over the place.
Not bothering to withdraw the fire Axe from the skull of the dead zombie. Alvian immediately closed the door to the stairway, directly dividing the wrist of a zombie that had stretched its arms through the gap in the door.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" banging sound resounded behind him from the door as the zombies growled, struggling to get to him.
Alvian grabbed the Axe from the floor and was about to leave when he heard the screeching sound of metal piercing through metal.
He immediately looked backward. Behind him, one of the zombies had pierced through the metal door with its claws.
Alvian's expression darkened. "What immense strength."
Swiftly, he made his way down the stairs. During the way, he passed by other floors and could hear the sounds of zombies walking around.
Finally, Alvian reached the ground floor. He calmly opened the door and was about to walk out when he abruptly paused in his tracks.
Poking his head out slightly, he peeked at the situation outside and his scalp went numb.
There were more than a hundred of zombies aimlessly walking around the lobby like headless flies. This scene made him freeze in his tracks.
If he had just walked in like that, he would be seen and then pursued. And the more sound one makes, the more zombies would be attracted. He would be surrounded in no time.
Calmly withdrawing his neck. Alvian thought for a moment, then he headed to the Underground garage. Since it was an even better option.
The door made a slight squeaking sound when he opened it. But in the quiet underground garage, the sound was very loud and was no different from two metals smashing loudly against each other.
Alvian carefully walked out of the door. He had estimated that the numbers of zombies in this place would be more or less more easier to clear up than the ones up in the building.
But when he gazed around, there wasn't a single zombie in sight. Bodies were all he could see. Bodies without heads.
The cuts on their necks were sharp and clean as though they had been made by a very sharp sword.
Accordingly, Alvian was supposed to be happy he wouldn't have to deal with any zombies here, but he frowned instead. That was because if he was given a sharp sword, he might be able to decapitate those zombies, but he wouldn't be able to make them all as clean and neat as this person had done. One's strength was limited after all.
He immediately got a bad feeling about it. Not slowing down, Alvian searched the bodies of the corpse's. After the fifth corpse, he finally retrieved a remote car key.
Pressing on the button, a car not too far from him made an honking sound.
Without hesitation, Alvian ran towards it and opened the door in one swift motion and swiftly entered the car.
Using the car key, the car immediately vibrated as it started up.
Placing it on reverse, he got out from the parking spot, turned and then got to the main asphalt.
As soon as he placed car on drive, Alvian heard a shout.
"Can you please wait!" It was coming from a man who had popped out from nowhere. The man had a Fire Axe on his back and also had two holsters by the side of his hips. He had at some point appeared a few metres behind the vehicle Alvian was driving.
Alvian wasn't stupid. He stepped on the acceleration pad, the car tires screeched loudly, producing an insane amount of dust and smoke as it sped forwards with increasing velocity.
"F*ck! I said you should wait!" The man cursed loudly and abruptly took out both guns from his holsters.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Alvian had been gazing at the man through the side mirror and the instant he saw the man pulled out the pistol, he turned the steering to a sharp left and then immediately right.
The bullet that was intending to burst the tires of the car missed and hit the ground instead.
Alvian wasn't done. This wasn't the first time he was actively fleeing from a fight but he only fled to counterattack not to retreat.
Grabbing the M7 Glock pistol at his waist. He continued to face front, gazing at the side mirror.
In a split second, he raised his right hand and pointed the Glock backward, he immediately pulled the trigger.
"Bang!"
The man was obviously surprised but with agility impossible to the ordinary person, he twisted his neck sideways. The bullet brushed past his face, cutting off strands of his hair and hitting the wall behind him.
The man was stunned and he stood still seeing as the car turned into a dot as it escaped from his sight.
Bradley frowned deeply. And he turned around to gaze at the bullet lodged at the wall behind him.
"Lucky shot?" His voice contained a slight hint of hesitation as he gazed back to the fading car. He had gotten lucky and had looted a Return To Origin card during his mission in the previous world.
[Return To Origin(Epic) : 60% chance of entering a beginner world. Can only be used once and User is unable to gain any titles from that world even when the corresponding milestones are achieved.]
The Return To Origin card forcefully placed another player into a newbie world. Under normal circumstances, during the first world of the player, there should only be one player in that world to make things easier and more simpler.
But the Return To Origin card tweaks the rules a little bit.
His main mission was to eliminate those sent to dispose of the Patient zero. And was to escort Patient zero back to TREiBET underground base.
Thinking back at the shot that had almost gotten him, he shook his head.
He was certainly over thinking things. "It's obviously a lucky shot. There is no way a newbie would shoot from a moving vehicle without aiming."
Gritting his teeth "Don't let me find you."
