Alvian tilted his head and was deep in thoughts as j dread through all of the notifications. He didn't know anything about evolutions points or skill points or Void Credits yet, but he could guess they were something good.
And although he had gained a pretty impressive number of them, he would have to go to the said Void space after his mission to figure out everything about the the points and how to use them.
As for now, he would have to be patient with the points and not use them carelessly. He then grabbed the Glock from the table, curiously glancing at the enhanced pistol but then.
But after a few minutes of scrutiny, he dropped it. He didn't want to activate the Forcefield by accident as that would be unfortunate since he may need it in the next few hours or so.
But then, he noticed he hadn't read all of the notifications yet. His eye brows suddenly rose up in slight surprise as he saw what the message was all about.
It was coloured in blood red as it said.
[WARNING: Patient Zero Is within a close proximity of a hundred meter please use the flare now! ]
[WARNING: Patient Zero Is within a close proximity of a hundred meter please use the flare now! ]
[WARNING: Patient Zero Is within a close proximity of a hundred meter range, Please use the flare now! ]
Looking at the notification, it had been there for the past 15 minutes which meant that the Patient Zero was probably very close to him already and might have already senses him.
Alvian's pupils constricted and he instantly took the flare gun out from his pockets. Moving slowly to the edge of the house, he opened the windows and cautiously peeked out.
From the vibes he had gotten from the notification and the warning he had been receiving, he knew Patient Zero was probably very dangerous and might even be an evolved form of Undead or something even worse.
Regardless, Alvian proceeded carefully as his injuries will certainly prevent him from fighting to the best of his capability if a fight broke out.
Taking the Flare Gun, he pointed toward the darkening sky and without hesitation, he pulled the trigger.
Puff!
A long but short lived droning sound resounded within the neighbourhood as the flare broke through several layers of dark clouds, shining resplendently in they sky with a blood red bright colour.
It seemed as though the clouds itself was bleeding when one looked at it from afar, perfectly depicting the apocalyptic situation the world had transformed into.
Alvian eyes watched the trail of burning combust able chemicals as they travelled more than 200 meters into the sky before exploding with a massive bang!
In that moment, he heard a ding sound coming from his phone. It was another notification which Alvian could guess what it was for.
He moved back into the house and then grabbed his phone to read through the notification.
[Notice: Main Mission Find patient zero has being completed.]
[Notice: You still have 60 hours left of time staying in this world.]
[Verify the completion of new main mission: Find Patient Zero and return to the origin void space. Yes or No?]
[Note: You will be retrieved from this world in five minutes and when the your timer reaches its end, you will be forcefully retrieved back to the void space.]
Alvian looked through the information and his finger fiddled with the yes button appearing to be in thought but he ultimately didn't click on it. Instead, he placed the phone back to his pockets and expressionlessly sat back down.
A normal person would have instead clicked the yes button without hesitation but Alvian was clearly not normal, either mentally or physically.
"Wouldn't be much of an adventure if I don't meet this proclaimed patient zero. I wonder if he would drop something good upon his death." Alvian's eyes brightened upon the though as he sat down on the sofa with his eyes closed as though waiting for something.
The clouds rumbled as thunder fished through the atmosphere, signifying the massive rain that was about to sweep through the earth with its unforgiving nature.
Barely just three minutes after the loud thunderous sound, the rain started falling merciless and Alvian's head tilted slightly to the side. Suddenly, a smirk graced his lips as though he had heard something funny and a silent word escaped them.
"Finally."
Soft foot steps rang out from behind him. The person's footstep were light and slow but slightly erratic, and also becoming a bit more prominent as it got closer.
All of a sudden, Alvian frowned and his nose flared as he inhaled sharply. But this made him frown even more.
As a legendary Soldier and possibly the greatest that had ever existed, the things that could make him frown so deeply could be counted on one hand. But the scent he was currently was something that made him feeling disturbed.
Even with the massive breeze coming through the window, caused by the rain. His nose was more than sharp enough to perceive the scent of the things around him. His senses had been honed to the maximum limit his body was capable of which included but not limited to his sense of smell.
Confused, he inhaled deeply one more time, assuming he had been imagining the scent entering his nose, but the scent only got even stronger as he inhaled.
His expression hardened as he refused to turn back and stared straight ahead to the wall right in front of him but his eyes weren't entirely focused.
Step by step, soft thumping sound reverberated through the house as the foot step got closer. And just when the footstep was a few meters away from him, it paused.
Alvian heart raised wildly and his eyelid spammed. Although confused as to this feeling, he wasn't concerned about that.
The scent was so prominent that that was all he could inhale. It was then a confused voice softly rang out from behind him.
"Brother?"
