"Do you still have chaotic thoughts?" Dr Sydney asked as she tapped softly with her pen, rhythmically on the notebook laying on her lap.
There was silence in the room, and it seems as though Dr Sydney had just been talking to her self.
"Alvian, I asked you a question. When was the last time you had any destructive thoughts?" Dr Sydney pressed on as she repeated her self.
Suddenly, there was a stir in the room and a young man who was no older than 20 sniffed his nose.
"No, It's been quite a while." an hoarse male voice that did not seem like it came from a 20 some year old man sounded out in the room.
Doctor Sydney remained quiet for a while and then she let out a sigh. "We both know we've been in this position long enough to figure out when we are lying and when we are not." Dr Sydney shook her head sideways as she spoke out in a matter of fact.
"Hmm, you do seem a little more... How do I put it? More conserved. Did something happen recently?." Dr Sydney leaned forward a bit as she asked.
The young man blinked his eyes but remained expressionless as he replied with a shrug "No."
Dr Sydney breathed out as she leaned back, resuming tapping on her note book with her pen.
"You can't keep lying to me. Alvian. You've retired and you're a civilian now. With your unimaginable achievements with the military, the government need to know you wouldn't one day just snap and plunge the world into chaos."
"And the only reason you aren't put into a high military secured prison yet is because of your sister." Dr Sydney pursed her lips slightly.
"She seem to be the only on that can tame that wild persona of yours." Although she said this, she knew it wasn't entirely true. There was still the fact that it would be no easy feat to capture and that is if they were even able to.
"As I have already told you, I haven't had any chaotic thoughts in a while." His voice went deep and he stared straight into the doctor's eyes.
Seeing this, Dr Sydney spun her pen around and clicked at the top most part of the pen, revealing the pointy ball tip and then she began to scribble down on her note.
"The note thing again? Really?" the young man lightly snorted.
"You aren't giving me what I want, you have to open up to me." she removed her gaze from the note book as she said at the young man.
"Alright, I might have had some thoughts lately, but I haven't acted on them." The young man finally seem to give in.
"Of course I know that. But you should know that you sister wouldn't be always there to calm your emotions down." Dr Sydney stated loudly.
"You need friends, you need to have a normal life and live like normal people. You need to connect. You can't just keep walking around and when you glance at someone, a thousand and one ways to end their life just pops up in your head. You need to change that mindset." she said with a frown.
"You need to trust people a little more Avian."
"I trust people."
"Really?"
"Of course."
"Now mention their names, I'm listening." she leaned forwards to show her full attention.
"Evyana, you and some other people." The young man shrugged.
"Wow. Even after all this time, you still don't know my name. And Evyana? That's your sister's name." Dr Sydney shook her head slightly, she wasn't at all impressed.
"Okay. Now that your sister has gone for college, to a distant city. I see it's becoming harder for you to keep those emotions in check. What do you think would happen to you if let's say she was involved in an accident and couldn't contact you anymore... " Dr Sydney hadn't even speaking when she heard a deep hoarse voice interrupt her.
"Nothing. Is. Going. To. Happen. To. Her." The young man stared at the Dr Sydney dead in this eye as he spoke word for word with a tone laced with murderous intention.
Dr Sydney shivered a little. And although she too was a soldier, a very good one at that, she knew who she was dealing with - a total Psychopath with no regard for human life.
She clicked her pen again her turned to write on her notebook.
Seeing this, the young man breathed in deeply and said. "Okay. I'm sorry alright? I've also been trying my best here okay? This isn't easy for me. I've spent the most half of my life killing people, you can't just expect me to just change overnight right?"
Dr Sydney sighed lightly and she said "Of course I know that, but it's been two years Alvian, two years. You need to show some signs of improvement otherwise the government would firm their decision to take you in. Even at the lifes of several top agents."
Avian frowned a little and he stared straight at the doctor's eyes. "Now that you've informed me about it, it's simply impossible for them to capture me any longer... What are you playing at doc?" He squinted his eyes a little.
Dr Sydney chuckled a little. "They don't need to capture you, your sister would be the main target. So even if I tell you ahead of time, it's useless unless you show some signs of improvement."
Alvian remained expressionless and remained silent for a while and strangely didn't get angry before he quietly asked. "How long do I have?"
"Just three months left. And there is nothing else I can do to hold them up for you." Dr Sydney responded.

Exhaling loudly, Alvian walked by the busy street with his hands in his pocket. He didn't sigh because he was feeling down or angry. He was just a little disappointed.
He was like a caged animal in his own mind. He couldn't even express his own true feelings amongst these fragile people. Way back when he had been training back at the Zero camp, he had found himself and his talent. And like a free bird, he soared unhindered. He was at the top of the rankings in every training and had personally completed more than a hundred SSS rank missions by the military after completing his training in just two years.
But his achievements had pissed off several people at high places in the society. Those who could decide the fates of millions of people.
They pulled some strings with their influence and had managed to pull him back to human society as they were unable to silence him.
Using the excuse that he was a Psychopath who kills without remorse. Well, he technically was one but still, he always had a 100 percent completion rate on every mission, no matter how difficult it was.
So technically, as a most valuable asset, him being a little crazy in the head shouldn't have being enough to make him retire. He should at most have gotten a warning but all he was told was he had to return his badge and his weapons and go home.
But now that he was back in society, he had to reign in his emotions and his true feelings like a coward in other to fit in with this weak minded people, it was truly unbearable for him.
The World being at peace was like his own permanent hell. And he needed something to break out of this hell.
