While some were obvious, others were questionable.
"For now, secure the garden, kitchen, swimming pool and rooftops. It is easy to farm points in these areas. Oriole, tell those who would collaborate with us to guard these locations. They can earn points in these places when the eggs spawn, but we only want to harvest a few of the same eggs. The moment you have the eggs, use the egg tray to store them and deliver them directly to the kitchen. I have a use for these eggs."
The Gambler looked a little uneasy. "If we let the others farm points, what will happen to us? I don't want to fall in ranking even if I survive."
Zen understood this. In fact, he didn't want anyone to fall in ranking. They had to earn as many points as possible to climb the rankings. Akiko, in particular, has to climb higher to build her credit balance. If Guild Survivors wanted to take the lead, they had to be richer than Guild Carnage.
"I understand. In fact, I wish that everyone here can move out of Rank E. The more credits you earn, the better it is for the guild. We need information now more than ever, and the only way to buy information is using credits."
Liu Feng agreed. However, he couldn't understand what Zen had in mind. The more Zen spoke about his plan, the more the blind teen was convinced Zen was a mad genius.
"Oriole. When you make the announcement later about everyone not interfering with our mission in the event and not siding with Guild Carnage, be sure to tell them that we are paying them 500 credits each for every black egg they catch and bring to us in one piece."
When Sasha heard that, she blinked. Bring the black egg back in one piece? Why would Zen do that? It was worth the most points, and nobody would trade points for credits, would they?
Her unasked questions were answered. "Nobody else knows the value of these eggs except for us," Zen told them. "The fact that these eggs have abilities is information that only we now know. I might not know what countdown means but the fact that it hates crowding makes me happy. It won't be easy for them to earn that 500 credits. Even so, I need at least one of each egg to craft the Rainbow Egg in the kitchen to end this event."
Zen didn't want to let them know what the Rainbow Egg's recipe was yet. In fact, he told everyone to stay clear of the Black Egg and be very careful when handling the Yellow Egg.
"The Black Egg is a high difficulty catch. Hence, I will entrust it to Akiko-san. Liu Feng, your job is to steal as many egg points as you can while distracting Guild Carnage. You're in charge of raking in credits during this event. Sasha, you're in charge of egg collection runs. If anyone has a unique egg to submit, you will collect it from them and deliver it to the kitchen."
Nobody in Party Godly Food objected. Zen turned to Party Prayer and assigned them intelligence gathering during the event while collecting as many points as possible. Their main mission was to keep an eye on Guild Carnage's activities and the Basilisk's location.
On the other hand, Party Freedom was assigned a high-risk mission of disarming Guild Carnage's recon party.
"Party Undead must be taken down. We cannot afford to let Johan know more than required. I need him to constantly try to take out other players and stall the Basilisk. Gambler, you're in charge. Tracer will use his psychometry to guide you where to ambush them. Steal as much luck as you can. Scorpion and Berserker, take them out as soon as you can. Take Siren out first, followed by Shadow and Ghost. Do not confront them directly. Retreat and regroup if needed. I cannot afford to have anyone out of commission during this game. It's too early to die."
Hearing how Zen intended to crush Guild Carnage from the inside out, Liu Feng was impressed. Zen was a very good advisor. He knew who to target and how. However, the Seer wasn't sure about Party Freedom's chances of success against Party Undead. The blind teen remained silent as Zen told them what points to capture and the possible routes they could use.
"Keep the communications open at all times and report back. Wherever you first spawn, do not move alone. Once the game begins, rush to meet up in the kitchen. The only people who should act alone are Akiko-san and big brother Wind. Sasha, you're my buddy until there are errand calls. Any questions?"
Nobody raised any questions. With their assigned tasks for this event, the mafia heirs and heiresses excused themselves. There were preparations to be done.
Zen did not stick around for long either. He asked for someone to help him settle the dishes as he had somewhere urgent to be. Sasha volunteered after looking at Liu Feng and Akiko. It wasn't appropriate for them to be doing dishes.
Once everyone left Akiko's room, Zen no longer held back what he wanted to say.
"Why aren't you questioning me about the Rainbow Egg recipe and the black egg's ability?"
Liu Feng smirked. "I knew you'd tell us eventually."
Similarly, Akiko nodded, and Zen blushed. Was he so easy to read?
Now that they had privacy, Zen told Liu Feng and Akiko the dangers of collecting the black egg.
"It's explosive. I don't know how to defuse an egg that explodes, but I need some egg parts from it."

"I don't know how many Rainbow Eggs I can craft, but I wish to gather as many materials as I can for everyone to have at one Rainbow Egg. Of course, one would be used to end the game. As long as the Basilisk does not come to the kitchen and Guild Carnage stays away from me, we can produce an endless amount of Rainbow Eggs throughout the event."
When Akiko and Liu Feng heard Zen's plan, they could not help but feel shocked by how rigged the event was. If nobody bought the encyclopaedia, they would be fighting among themselves again to climb the ranks and steal other people's eggs.
500 credits was a small price to pay for Zen's plan. If all twelve Guild Survivor's members made it to the top rankings, the number of credits they had would be higher than what Guild Carnage had. Everyone knew the power of wealth in the mafia, and it was not any different in this Academy.
"What do you say?" Zen grinned. "I fooled them very well, didn't I? We can test their loyalties here and now as well."
Liu Feng ruffled Zen's hair. "You did well. Leave the rest to us now."
Akiko agreed. Making this gamer their advisor was the right choice. For the survival of more than one person, Zen was a necessity.
"Thank you, I have to go back and train now," he told Liu Feng and Akiko before leaving hastily.
Akiko blinked. "Train?"
Even Liu Feng did not know what sort of last-minute training Zen wanted to do. In any case, it was a good opportunity to discuss what Liu Feng discovered yesterday.
"Kanzaki, that Area Boss that Zen discovered gave some very good items. We should save this for our party only."
Akiko agreed. "It's a shame that we don't have more to give the others in the guild for levelling. The dungeon would be cleared a lot faster if we had better consumable items."
"Actually, if you don't mind accompanying me on the middle floors for a while, I can show you how to farm better consumables and equipment for the others in the guild. However, this stays between you and me. Zen discovered this yesterday, and I tested the concept. You'd be amazed."
Curious, the Death Princess agreed. Anything concerning Zen was interesting. Akiko forgot when the last time was that she enjoyed herself so much. This game of death didn't seem all that frightening. On the contrary, Akiko found herself having fun.
