The small lobby was completely lit by the short but extremely expensive-looking and sparkly chandelier. Thana eyes the lift that wasn't there and the only button beside it. She closes the door behind her and made sure to lock it well.
Quietly, she paced near the elevator to see the dangerous fall underneath its openness of it. The lift was on the floor above her, she pressed the button to hear the recoiling sound again. Something tugged on the hanging cords before the elevator moved down.
It stopped right in front of Thana; she gets on slowly. A chill went down her spine when it shook ever so slightly when she got on. She did not know why she was shaking when she pulls down the leaver.
Her thoughts ran and she mumbled to herself, "they could have just had stairs instead of this scary thing."
