Chapter 26 - Letter

Although her body was screaming to hit the covers for a good night's rest, she had a difficult time falling asleep. Being unable to sleep is nothing new, Thana had always battled her insomnia. But for the first time, she wished to have slept and dreamt.

Thana wanted to dream about Adelaide or Otto. She has been dying to have a conversation with either of them since dinner. She figured Otto would have checked in on her after her first day being actively out in the palace. 

But there was none.

The entire night it had only been her rolling about in bed, feeling too cold and too hot with every hour that passes. She could hear the sound of the night from her windows, the wind that would gracefully blow through the trees nearby, and there were moments she'd notice the light outside turning on and off. It signified that Thana wasn't the only one getting well-rested.
