Chapter 20 - Unexpected

Thana had high expectations prepared in her head, but the only words she received from Jade were continual words from Madam Harriet's quick lecture. However, she emphasized Thana's need to learn when to keep her mouth sealed when facing people of higher status. Most importantly, dealing with royalty. 

"It is the only way we survive here and keep our peace. We do not want any trouble so we must remember our place," Jade's voice became constant in Thana's mind while she familiarized the next set of goods on another shelf. She also thought of a way to organize it better. 

The pantry is spacious and airy. The room is breathable which is enough to be grateful about. Thana would not mind staying here, it does not trigger her claustrophobia because the room is larger than she thought.
