Szeina had her heart in her throat. She listened to the sound of her footsteps resonating with the not-so-stranger walking ahead of her.
Glass walls with rose patterns allowed the moonlight to light their way along the hallway.
Coming to a halt, Szeina noticed the oak door idly waiting at the foot of the dead end. Yvann, or whoever it was right now, turned to face her. The icy stare he sent her way had her gripping on what little hope she had.
He eyed her from head to toe, looking at her sharply.
"Talk."
'You're not talking to the real Yvann right now. You will have to make him come out in order for that to happen.'
Szeina cleared her throat.
"Before I start, may I know what your name is?"
The stranger tilted his head to the side.
"Why would that matter?"
"I don't want to be rude. Besides, calling you Yvann would be weird."
The man pursed his lips.
"Slayer," he finally replied. "Call me Slayer."
