The court continued on and I ignored most of it. I didn't even remember when it was over Because my mind was completely elsewhere. It was only when Chiara patted my shoulder and gestured for me to walk with her.
We walked out of the balcony together. The wife's of the ministers were walking behind us and most of them disappeared or walked past us halfway which made me think that she was walking slowly on purpose. She knew I had questions that I wanted her to answer.
"The Queen is more important than the king." I stated, while walking with her. "This is one of the first things I have seen that I never thought would come true."
She huffed but there was a smile on her face. "I do not know why it is not the same in your world. The Queen is the bridge of one life to the next. She is the one that gives birth to the heir to the throne and it is a given that she is respected more than the king."
