"I do not have a gift for Marilyn," I admitted. "I do not know how it just slipped my mind but.."
"But now you do not have a gift for your best friend." He completed for me, "Is that it?"
I nodded.
I was not going to tell him about my plan for the Bitten. God knows what she was already going to and if only they all came to know about it I had no idea what was about to come for her.
He sighed softly before his hand raised and touched my cheek. He pinched it softly. It was so gentle that I did not even feel it yet just caressed over my skin.
"You do not have to worry about that." Tristan's heavy voice sounded so gentle that I felt weak in my knees. "Tomorrow morning I will send for a jeweler and you can choose what you want to give to Marilyn. Is that alright with you? If you want I can also arrange for something else."
"No, no," I shook my head immediately. "That would be more than enough for me Tristan."
