Second crowned Prince?
I could feel Merilyn looking at me and my breathing had quickened on hearing the words. There were chances that he could recognize me but I had not bathed in days and also, I had no rouge and scents to make me a princess.
"Ladies," The merchant addressed us, making us look at him, "You might want to stand with everyone. People are being partitioned and you don't want to be separated from them." He handed us our bundles and along with his, we walked back hurriedly.
I have not forgotten what Marilyn had done which is why I purposely stepped on her shoes twice.
"Ah!" She gasped and looked at me accusingly, I glared back harder making her look down.
"There you two are." Gemma looked at us worriedly. "Where were the two of you?"
"Merilyn was busy trying to get courted by a merchant," I answered her query with a sincere look on my face.
"Merilyn!" Gemma chided Merilyn, who had no idea what to do.
