Diwal left quickly after I had picked up the box and told him that I was going to hand it over to Marilyn.

Surprised, I opened my mouth to say something but ended up closing it.
"I get it," she winked, "I was able to convince mum and Vaughn that I could come without any trouble."
"What trouble?"
Lara's eyes snapped to mine before I could with the expression in them, it disappeared and was replaced by a smile. "Nothing to worry about," she waved it off, "come in."
Taking a hold of my hand she pulled away with a lot of force and necessary making me almost stumble on the front folds of my dress.
