One word that could crept her out as her eyes focused on the letter. Then, she glanced around and strived to track the person, who may give the letter, however, no one was in the hallway. She heaved a deep sigh and let it slide.
Before she placed it inside her bag, someone touched her shoulder which jumped her from her direction. She glanced at it and saw Chance, who was furrowed brow while staring at her.
"What took you so long?"
She chuckled and shook her head in disbelief. He was a cute child by how he looked at her. Then, she ruffled his hair. He glared at her and removed her hand away from his hair.
"I'm going to ask you again, what took you so long?"
"Sorry Chance, I just…" she stopped, didn't knowing if she would tell Chance about the letter.
"You just… what?" He asked.
"I just need to use the bathroom."
"You are so slow, Aly. I keep waiting outside the parking lot," he whined while pouting hard.
