The following morning.
Avery could barely open her eyes when the alarm went off. She rubbed her eyes drowsily. "Is it morning already?" She yawned.
"Rise and shine!" He was just as sleepy as she was. They had watched the series with only a few breaks in between to eat, and had fallen asleep with the screen still on.
He turned it off then glanced over at her. "Unless you want to continue watching…"
"I just want to sleep." She slumped her head against his shoulder. He carried her off the couch and although she wanted to protest, she was too sleepy to say a word.
She was in a soft, comfortable bed the next moment and she couldn't help holding onto his arm. It felt more comfortable to hug than the pillows on the bed.
….
Waking up had never felt like such a disaster. She sat up with a jolt. "What's the time? Shit."
"You can relax." He pulled her by her waist to lie down.
